Ooooh, one might imagine that Bun-Bun has gained some serious insights about things he would formerly just handle with brute force. - Well, I'm probably reading too much into this last panel, but I'm happy to entertain the thought anyway.

hmm, and as much as Santa hated BunBun taking over, wasn't he the one who made BunBun the Easter Bunny?

No. Bun-Bun was made the Easter Bunny because he killed the Easter Bunny, and accepted the right of caste.

I'm really liking this Bun-Bun oriented storyline. The holiday Wars, and now Oceans Unmoving really help to develop bun-bun's character. He was just an easily angered, knife wielding, cute talking animal with an affinity for Baywatch for too long. Bun-bun has always been a cool character, but certain aspects, such as the Baywatch thing, that started out small, really got exaggerated. I'm glad that new perspectives are being added to his personality.

Likewise, I'm liking some of the subtleties in this plotline. I like how Calix is slowly becoming more and more civilized from strip to strip. His clothes are getting tidier and tidier, and in the past two strips he's not even wearing his weapons. Next thing you know he'll cut his hair and button up his collar.
