Friday thinks it's time to have a long talk with Siphy. (With Ozzid translating.)

Now now, Zill. Badguys don't usually ring the doorbell. Do they?

That may not be a doorbell. More likely the kind that goes off when the door opens. That's why Zoe says it's probably Sharon coming in. Sharon wouldn't need to ring a doorbell.

Ah right. Edited.

I was just thinking "oh wow, an actual calm moment for them; how nice"... and then the door chime went off.

Something tells me Torg isn't going to get that nap right away.

I think the Kiki playdate was supposed to be the calm moment. :kiki:

Even though it's *probably* just Sharon coming in as they said, I hope Torg goes with Zoe just in case it isn't. They've got too many enemies to take the risk of answering the door alone. And if it *is* just Sharon, then Torg can just turn around again and get that nap.

Door chime and "we're closed" imply they're at Lady Tombs' shop. But Ozzid, Kiki's playdate, etc, all suggest they're at home. Am I missing something?

They’ve been at the antiquarium for a while now.

We don't know exactly when they moved over to the Antiquarium, or why. Presumably, it's where Gwynn prefers to perform her witchy stuff, and where she keeps things "prepared." But they've been there for the last week and a half, our time: https://archives.sluggy.com/book.php?ch ... 2025-06-25 (see the caption at the top of the first panel). However, based on the clothes that Zoë's wearing, I'd say they've been there since the beginning of the chapter. Note that the setting in the second panel, where Torg is talking to the crystal ball, looks the same (or similar, at least) to the basement of the Antiquarium. Whereas, in the "Last week" panel, the crystal ball is by a window (at the home, probably soon after the playdate). So it has been at least one week since they retrieved Kiki, the spell, and the pendant.

Good thing Gwynn's been brushing up on her Latin! Or maybe Ozzid's translating.

Well crap....I wonder who could be at the door. You know, if they are closed, you would think they would keep the door locked...and only those that need to be there would have the key. So that those who should NOT be there can be kept out.

I can think of any number of people who could show up that we wouldn't want there. I wonder which one(s) it might be. *sigh*
Poor Torg.

And yes, Ozzid is translating for Siphy and Gwynn. Torg says it right there in his panel. So, Gwynn has not brushed up on her Latin, or hasn't needed to.

Holy cow, Pete. I just read the update. Obviously we don't know what's going on, but I think I speak for everyone when I say "take care of yourself first".
