Looks like we are gearing toward a quick resolution, which might a good thing as Bun-bun seems to already be bored.

Speedrunning 'Among Us'.
First time I read it I thought it was 'first name: Newby and last name: Oobli'. Unless it isn't a new way of spelling "newbie"
Bummer Gwynn isn't here. In ancient Egypt they would rip out the Pharaoh's brain via their noses before binding them in paper (mummification) and that kinda happened here. Kinda.

Wondering how Torg knew aside from "I could use a hug from Zoe too" being a pretty awkward/sus thing to say.

My guess is that the whole "worry about what my forster parents would think" is out of character for Meander.

No, this strip makes it clear that they recognise the possessed with 100% accuracy even when it's people they don't know, and we've seen here and in the past that Torg's the one pointing them out. I won't speculate about *how* Torg's doing it, though.

I love Bun-Bun's yawn in the last panel. He's so over demons trying to take on the Storm Breaker. Or maybe it's the fact the Ferryman is trying to threaten them with a switchblade.

Out of character, AND trying to position herself around Zoe, who has the book. It's well beyond suss and far into the realm of wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube demon land. And yeah... Ka-clicking at Bunbun? That's just sad. She should have LOOKED HARDER through those memories.

The real Meander would never care about what her foster parents think.
Speaking of which, Zöe and Torg should adopt Meander. Only they know what she has been through, and she would be great for their team if they keep fighting demons.

Becky demon said that they already captured everyone but her. And then they just captured her. So by process of elimination.... (before anyone asks, the ferryman would no doubt get a bigger and fancier picture in the book upon capture.)

(before anyone asks, the ferryman would no doubt get a bigger and fancier picture in the book upon capture.) True, but they didn't even LOOK at the book when they captured her. Zoe could possibly have seen it, but Torg definitely didn't. He sounds pretty certain, and simply counting demons and guessing that none of them seemed big enough to be the Ferryman isn't enough to explain that certainty even if he had looked at every one. It's entirely possible there could be additional demons returning from a previous year, or that the ferryman could be unexpectedly smaller, at least it's not something that can be fully ruled out. The evidence points to a supernatural method.

Self-censoring and deleting the post. I'd move the original post over to spec, but it's essentially been said over there already. <shrug> Zillatain wrote: [Modhat on] Many of you --interestingly most starting with S-- are encroaching a little too much into speculation territory. This forum is called Reactions, not Speculation.[Modhat off] But I was reacting! Reacting to the other posts rather than the comic.... Sorry, Zill. I know better; I actually wondered if I'd wandered over the line as I was clicking submit. Edit 2: Heh. Guess I was speculating, since I was so wrong....
