Monday sees that Meander has been buzzy. She has been very stingy in telling the gang what she is capable of. Well anyway, this does put some honey in the gears for what the Ferryman was planning. --------- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Please remember to vote for some bug spray.

This makes so much more sense, in retrospect. The reveal seemed incredibly out of left field before.

well, poop!
And to make things worse, the Ferryman might get access to some of Chilus's knowledge, if he keeps sifting into Meander's memories.

So much for that ghost bee magic.
I knew the irregular panel frames were a bad sign, and yet I didn't figure out what was really happening. Well done, Pete!
I don't see the four remaining demons on this page. Absent any evidence to the contrary, I assume that they came along when the Ferryman changed hosts.

So much for magic powers. I was wondering whether the bees were a physical or mental manifestation. Turns out they're a mental manifestation.... of Meander's imagination.

Welp, that decides the "yay or uh-oh" conundrum.
Sigh...
I wonder if they all can sift through the thoughts of their host, or if it's a special ability. Someone will probably provide a link, so I'll just wait here. :D

Looking at the previous picture, the first hint that something was off was in the third frame with the then-inexplicable sudden change of flower design on Meander's T-shirt.

That's way too much attention to detail for me. I can assure you, I never would have noticed that flower design no matter how many times I read the strip and even with you pointing it out, my initial reaction was "wtf are you talking about."

I wonder if being possessed before makes you more susceptible to being possessed again, as opposed to more resilient, like she had hoped.

"...but you don't know how they can detect which mortals have a demon in them. So I don't either."
Can the ferryman not recognize behavior changes as a giveaway? If that isn't the demon's difficulty, maybe Meander has found some way to lock parts of herself off from a lesser demon than Chilus. The cavalry should be on the way...

The cavalry should be on the way... I think what the Ferryman is saying is "Since you don't know how they can detect which mortals have a demon in them, I don't know how they can tell if you're possessed and thus don't know if I need to do anything bigger than 'pretend I'm you.' " Which makes sense, since Meander's being kept out of the loop because the more knowledge she has (e.g. 'is there some way to detect possession without having to suss it out from clues?'), the more likely she is to do...well, exactly what she did.
