The only incongruous thing I've noticed about Brielle is that she's supposed to be a shy nerd but she wears showy "look at me I'm so cool" glasses – but I don't quite see how that would indicate possession. Some old doors only have a keyhole lock on both sides, so if the door is locked you need the key to open it even if you're inside. This is a B&B, not a fancy hotel. It's not entirely unreasonable to think a quaint old B&B might have doors like that. As for why they didn't send Brielle out, that would probably have been a harder trap to pull off and may have tipped her off. There may be other reasons, but that reason alone might be good enough to avoid staying locked in a room with a known possessed person.

I assumed that Meander knew she was possessed because of the "buzzing." She heard a LOT of it as she approached the house. She insinuates that she was corrupted by her time with Chilus..maybe she can tell who is possessed based on the buzzing sound.

Meander is obviously a much higher-value target (as a past host for Chilus) and a big threat to the operation. We still don't know what are the condition to be possessed. Can the demon pick anyone as they want, or do the victims have to meet certain conditions, like Skippy, who can only possess people who say a certain invocation line? Also, I wanted to say thank you to Pete for providing us with two weeks of three updates/week packed with events. I wasn't sure anything following the epic conclusion of "Immortal King" could hold the comparison, but you have me completely caught by this new story and thrilled again to know what happens next.

Now that she’s TOLD a demon this, would she seen as leftovers? Like food in the fridge with someone else’s name label on her? Already broken in (and thus boring… or extra fun to mess with?)

Already broken in (and thus boring… or extra fun to mess with?) Not sure how much it matters, since either way she was looking at possession or death. But yeah, I'll echo what Guigui said. Way to crank out the quality content, Pete! Don't push yourself too hard.

Just spinning the wheels for fun, wondering about demon etiquette and appetite. Lol. I’m sure it means nothing.
