Congratulations on a gruesome cameo death sluggite.

Did Chaz just call BunBun, master? That's a frightening thought.

Unexpected, but it works! After all, Meander was a possible innocent person back in Mohkadun.

True! But it's a bit unwieldy for him...

Well, that answer that. Now to see the rest of the slaughter unfold.

Edit: never mind.

Nice flying, Frog! I'll say it because I'm sure none of the gang will ever think to mention it.

I'm with you - get that sword away from Bun-Bun pronto! Although with the inevitable return and crushing victory of Lord Poopy-Pants soon it hardly matters to the storyline.

Panel 4 of last week's strip. Pete mentioned it but just forgot the link.

I suspect this one worked because her demon had temporarily released her -- why else would Pete set it up? Whereas Chilus has probably not released Meander in a very long time, if ever.

And with hope comes freedom! Indeed! Good thing the CLAOS were there. I was hoping they'd come in handy.

Edit: Oh, and the demon dies right after, because he was right behind the woman when her blood powered the sword. What a nice arrangement. Reminds me of an especially fortuitous game of checkers online, where a woman unwittingly put her pieces where I could jump and jump over them.

That was a particularly gruesome Sluggite death, Pete. Congrats to Lynne!

I dunno if Bun-bun would even want to be Chaz' master long-term. He's quite capable of dealing out death with his switchblade and Glock, after all.

From my understanding, it's enough if the host is innocent, whether they are in control or not. Her being released was just Pete's way of showing that the demon specifically picked a human that was likely to be a good soul.

Bun-Bun like his switchblade way too much to ever trade it with a fancy talking sword.

Which shows that Chaz powered up very quickly. It can't have taken many milliseconds to move from Lynne to Boswix. Activation of Chaz seems to be not quite instant but pretty darn quick.

Brutal. But then, Sluggite cameos usually are.

I find myself hoping Chaz and Bun-bun have a go at each other verbally, as they are potentially starting to here, because Chaz could use a bit of brutal deconstruction for the way he's been acting lately. (If my memory is fair. This story's taking a long time to unfold, and I haven't been re-reading it.)

Probably. But at the same time, it’d also sound a lot like sticking up for nerdboy, if bunbun isn’t careful!

I’m pretty sure there were a lot of stories where people abandoned their talking magical swords because they were annoying. I don’t want to look, but I bet it’s on tvtropes.

I mean, Pete already hit it once with Oasis. We’re no doubt gonna hit it with bunbun. I wonder about Torg…

That makes sense, especially because this one was powerful enough to manifest physically without a host.

Chaz must be unbelievably sharp to slice through... all the layers... like that.
