Pete is doing pretty good job at connecting all of the threads together.

A trip down memory lane still at book 8? This is going to take a while. Kudos to Pete for the very in-character note on the book, written all the way back in 2002 when we had no idea who Farahn was: "If found, drop in any mailbox - POSTAGE GUARANTEED, INSOLENT ONE!"

I think lots of the scripting work Pete has been talking about was at least partly him going back through the archives, making sure everything tie perfectly. I am also noticing a "first wish is free reoccurring theme, there" Great work, there. Looking at the news, is it the first time we see what Color Farahn is, in his book-totem design? It's also interesting how his Pawnz desing make him look like the the spine of the Book of E-Ville.

If you scroll back a few days from the 'ref' link, you get BOTH the 'Emergency Pants' and 'Chick Magnet' strips! I didn't remember they were so close together. So that means if you scroll forward a few days you get Evil-Moths!
Pete is doing a great job tying the current story to what he was writing twenty years ago. Too great a job. Suspiciously great. The only explanation that fits the facts is that he is indeed the secret product of a two thousand year Bene Gesserit breeding program and is actually the Kwisatch Haderach.

"I can feel her love near me." >.> Uh that's love? I mean, unless he assumes gwynn is playing hard to get... Yea we'll go with that.

My best guess is that Pete is reading his way through the archives and trying to spot every time anyone but Gwynn uses the magic to retcon it. I mean, with dialogue like this, I can see it too. lol. "Who has me now? A bunny? Oh, but you know Gwynn? Ugh, fine, whatever. Poof!"

Related to the discussion of Gwynn's past magic use in the 1/25 strip thread... I had completely forgotten that she summoned the "Dud-Munchers Eat-Clotheshh-Moth. Hic." Which then led to one of the best Sluggy one-liners ever! "This looks like a job for Emergency Pants!"

Story checks out. Headcannon accepted.

That said, it seems to be working quite well with the.existent plot points, so I have no complaints.

It does feel like a lot of retconning (or at least, filling in the gaps), though in fairness to today's strip, Bun-Bun does specifically say in the old strip that he CAN'T use the magic again because the book has chosen Gwynn. So even back then Pete was already making it clear that Gwynn was becoming the sole E-Ville user.

Oh, I have no complaints either. I like it and it's going well, lol.
Today's comic just felt a bit tongue in cheek. "Ugh, the bunny too? Fine, whatever!"
