I know I'm not supposed to raise threads from the dead and all but UCX is coming up and this is still on the first page...it seemded a waste to start up a whole new thread.
As per usual, Jed and I will be there. I'll be up at the Reg Desk Friday evening and wondering around and/or playing games the rest of the weekend.
Ayone else coming?

as of the present, I'm supposed to be coming, as is Pete.
Things may change on my end based on some other stuff going on.
Pete is convinced he has trianed up enough to beat Jed at Guitar Hero now :)

That's a possibility. Jed switched to Rock Band and the "drums", so he's a little out of practice on the "guitar"...

pfft, who plays Guitar Hero anymore? Rock Band is THE game now ;)
And yea, I'm out of practice on the "guitar," but unless Pete is up to around the Hard/Expert border, I'll still kick his ass there ;)
And Kristy, you can call it a "guitar," but the drum kit for RB is a legit, albeit very small, drumkit. So no quotes for that :P

Um, isn't it pretty much the same game with some additions?

Actually, the guitars for the games are quite different (the ones that aren't compatible with both games, that is) and most people that I've talked to prefer one or the other.
I just came in because I happened to notice Kristy's title. I'm not actually attending Uber Con, sadly. (Is there a max char length on titles? Cuz the usual "of DOOM!" suffix would fit so well...)

know what's insanely scary... I've been trying to go to an ubercon for nearly the entire time it's been around. This time... I have nothing planned that weekend. I may actually get to go! I also just found all my original sluggy books, so I'm bringing them all to get 'em signed.

Very slightly different, which was part of the joke I was making. It is really just different enough that if you're used to one, the other is fairly foreign.
But the drum kit is too cool to put down on Rock Band for the "guitar" ;)

though this may be the only time my schedule permits me to go to ubercon, Gas around me has skyrocketed to over $3.80 per gallon. We may be staying home.

Gas in Edison is only $3.20, so you'll be saving money by coming to Ubercon and filling up your tank!
If you taqke the Turnpike, the Grover Cleveland Service Area is $3.17. I don't take the turnpike, but I'm pretty sure that's the closet service area on the Turnpike for the con...
