I resent the fact that I am the ONLY Canadian on the map.

Dropped myself in the middle of campus since I move about fairly frequently within the general area, but I've married the school, so a little peice of me will always be on campus.

I zoomed right into my own town and found my street! I'm there now!
Oh crap! I jsut realized that I'm off to college in two days, and I'll be in Worcester instead of Sudbury! Now what?

Well... They didn't have maps over Norway. No surprise. So I placed myself a little off... because I did not change to satellite, where I could have done better. Oh well, it's close enough.

By the way, if anybody wants to move their positions, just let me know. I can delete them (Being the one with admin privledges, for lack of a better word, for the map.)

I can't get my browser to actually enter text into the name field... which keeps me from putting it in.
Can you put me in central philadelphia, in the northeast part of the University of Pennsylvania (which is on the west side of the river). Use a long-dark-haired face.
Thanks!

Hey, when your looking on the satillite view, anybody ever notice that the U.S. Capitol is all fuzzy. Guess they don't want terrorists using google to plan their next attack. Funny thing is the White House and Pentagon are not similarly concealed.

Well, I'm on there. Actually, because I'm dense, I'm on there twice! Maurader, can you remove one of them? I'm off San Francisco in the ocean. I'm amazed by the level of detail, it lets you zoom in right onto the island (South East Farallon in the Farallon Islands)

This was pretty fun to play around with.
I nailed mine right to my parent's house. Not that I'll ever be living there ever again.

Their basement is still their house.

Aaaand Added. I have Satellite at about 1/2 street directory resolution, so I managed to find my place fairly easily. I'm just thankful I've read my Melways enough to remember road shapes. I was lost until I found Mountain Hwy/Burwood Hwy merge, but after that, it was simple enough to follow Burwood Hwy to Knox City Shopping Centre, then follow High Street Rd down to the greyish area (which I knew was my local strip of shops), and then find the nearest greenish bit to there, knowing it was the micro-park a couple of doors down from my place.
I could also tell before I went too far because of the lovely patch of "green wedge", which is quite recognisable in the satellite photo.
Try and find all the landmarks I just pointed out! I'm the male face in the Melbourne, Victoria area. If you switch to satellite, you should be able to find every landmark I've given. The clues are there, just follow!
You know, you could have a lot of fun with this. Try plotting a course from your tag to some other destination (or, play the landmark game!).
