If the picture is the same, Felix will answer in the affirmative.

David suggests that, as the Team are the people who Cimmura knows, that it would probably be for the best if the Team were the ones to introduce the emergency medical team to the people of Cimmura. Also because they're still the only ones who can speak Elene.

In response to Arkady's query, he says that Arkady's wife is not awake yet - but the schedule of awakenings has been such that she can be awakened today. He says he thought that Arkady would like to be there with her when she awoke.

In response to Felix's query about resources and progress, David points out that every (working) hydroponics room is being fully utilised; the farmers that one sees working the land outside are, effectively, the overflow. And yes, he has multiple engineering teams working on the remaining hydroponics rooms.

--------------

When Felix asks Piper about when Sir Sparhawk and Lady Sephrenia can make it to the lake, she just says "They'll get there when we do." Felix doubtless feels that this is an unhelpful reply; when he (gently) presses for a more meaningful time, Piper rolls her eyes, folds her arms, and simply insists "They will get there when we get there. I don't know when that will be! When are we going to get there?"

--------------

Felix will immediately recognise Roger's photo of "Clark Kent" as Nicholas Blackwell. There is one odd discrepency; the photo shows a scar which Felix knows he gave Nicholas, yet the photo also looks to be aged a couple of years younger than Nicholas got the scar. When this information is sent back to Roger, it leads to the conclusion that the file image is not a true image, but some sort of artistic reproduction; there's no obvious way to tell if the 'photo' was actually made by an artist, or of someone simply told a software package to "de-age this picture a few years", but either way, the file image is clearly as fake as Clark Kent's name; close enough to the real face so as not to raise any alarms if a person compares the two visually, and young enough to plausibly come from a few-years-old license photo, but nonetheless fake. It's likely that there is nothing truthful about this person in the computer records.

Since Arkady is there, he's going to try to make another 'dose' of sealant then watch one Irina Yuliovna Federenko wake up.

It probably won't be over much longer," Felix says. "We'll leave once we've finished our chores here."

While Arkady is making some more sealant and attending his wife's awakening Felix is going to utilize his Mr. Fix It stunt and go on a repairing spree, fixing anything and everything that he can reach as quickly as he can do so. Help from Theresa and any engineers on hand would be greatly appreciated.

After that he'll get ready to head out.

Oh, and in case no one has, Arkady will suggest to Roger that he make sure Blackwell's tablet is barred from the system (and if at all possible disabled); and to make sure that all the tablets left on are in locations where there are known Terrans (and are in fact the right Terrans). Just in case.

Roger will attempt to get a location ping on Blackwell's tablet before stripping him of all access and doing what he can to brick it from a distance.

"Speaking of Blackwell, I'm thinking we should print wanted posters like we did with Martell. I think we should also specify that he's a Terran magic user, but I should probably run that by our more magically inclined hosts first...and the captain of course. I'll tell David we need to an inventory on all tablets. That seems like something he'd enjoy. "

"Hold up. Instead of removing his access and bricking his tablet, could you instead use his tablet to spy on him and send us real time data of his location?"

I'll see what I can do.

Arkady: Engineering: +4 Roll: +1 Total: +5

The sealant dose requires some exacting and tricky work with very limited ingredients. It's not difficult to follow the recipe. It is, however, extremely tedious.

By the time Arkady has finished creating the dose, the sun is setting outside, the Ship's shadow stretching long towards the horizon.

The group will doubtless stay overnight on the Ship; Arkady can choose to awaken his wife now, or wait for the morning. Either way, at the time of Arkady's choosing, David will ensure that Arkady had a suitably large plate of food prepared and start the procedure to awaken her...

--------------

Felix: Engineering: +5 Roll: -1 Theresa: +4 Total: +8

There are enough tasks needing fixing on this Ship to take a decade for an army of engineers. Felix's work, though inspired, can only do so much.

A decade for an army of engineers. Maybe a day for an army of Felixes.

Regardless, there isn't an army of Felixes. There's just the one. He replaces a cable here, bypasses a battery there, replaces a doodad in one spot and adjusts the environmental controls in another. With the extra power bought about by making a few small adjustments to the life support (the Ship is in atmosphere now, it's never going to take off again, it doesn't need to maintain vacuum protocols anymore) he manages to free up a surprising amount of power, and with a little help from Theresa he gets at least a dozen more of the hydroponics rooms almost up and working again. (He does the difficult part; the engineers who are staying with the ship can do the tedious drudgework of refilling the water tanks, it's not like it'll take more than an afternoon anyhow).

David is ecstatic. Felix has blown past every target David had set down for - well, for a long time! The effects of this days work on the Ship's number of waking colonists cannot, David insist, be overestimated.

--------------

Roger: Science: +5 Genius (Hacking): +2 Roll: +0 Total: +7

Blackwell has a tablet. It is still on the network.

Roger manages to slip his digital fingers into it, slyly has the tablet turn on its microphone, and send him everything it hears.

At the moment, all he hears is galloping hoofbeats. Wherever Nicholas is, he's going there by horse. And where is Nicholas? Well, there already is that mapping satellite. Triangulating the signal from the satellite and the ship... the math is somewhat tricky. Normally, you need three locations to accurately triangulate someone's location. However, with one of those locations being in space, and assuming that Nicholas is at ground level...

...you can't quite get the position of his tablet with GPS accuracy.

But you can estimate it to within about a hundred metres.

Your estimate suggests that Nicholas is heading pretty much directly for the Zemoch border.

You can shut down his tablet's link to the Ship, make it unable to access any information from the Ship. However, that is something that Blackwell will notice - probably the first time he tries to get information from the Ship. You don't believe he'd be able to bypass your block, but the chances are that he'll throw the tablet away if he finds that it's useless to him; and then you won't have any way to track him.

It's up to you whether you want to cut him off or not.

When Felix finds some time to talk to Roger, he's got an idea.

"Would it be possible to build a virtual server that Blackwell can access?" Felix asks. "Something with a fair bit of common, widely known information any Terran would already know. Layer that with subtle misinformation and obfuscations that look like bad bandwidth is causing pages to not load or only partially load? That way we can collect as much information from him as possible before he realizes he's been had."

Once it starts getting dark Felix sends Theresa off to bed then continues working long into the night to make more repairs. He can sleep in the truck while Theresa drives.

Before he attends to waking up his wife that evening, a thought occurs to Arkady and he looks up the folks doing the computer work. "I was thinking. You may also be wanting to see if anything happened to Zalasbra's tablet. If he had it with him, it may be infected now."

"A fake server would take a lot of time. I can restrict the permissions of his tablet so only the most rudimentary files are accessible, but as for misinformation that would require foreknowledge of what files he'd actually access. I think I can get a background process running that would give us his approximate position though."

The problem with subtle misinformation, as Roger well knows, is that someone has to sit down and write the subtle misinformation.

The problem with blocking information is that it's possible - however unlikely - that Blackwell only has the tablet in order to be able to look up one specific thing; and it's thus also possible that he will throw the tablet away if he can't look up that thing. Blocking information is straightforward, even easy - but Blackwell will spot it, the first time he tries to look up the blocked information.

Roger could easily track down Zalasbra's tablet, if he wants. This won't help him find Zalasbra, mainly because he knows where Zalasbra is already (closely inspecting one of the windmills, as if trying to figure out how exactly it works).

"Well, I'm all out of ideas."

Felix goes back to his repair work.
