I'm tossing around the idea of a high fantasy/age of enlightenment dark elf warrior. though I suspect the whole sensor suite aspect of being a drow would have to go by the boards. Unless infravision somehow becomes a stunt.

I'd be willing to let you take a somewhat custom Supernatural Sense stunt. I've been wanting to look at the Dresden Files RPG for supernatural powers and it does include extrasensory abilities, but in that game powers are explicitly stronger than regular stunts you'd take at the same price. I might add the rule that you're rather sensitive to bright light to compensate an ability that would let you have darkvision. Which is honestly in line with the lore I know about Drow, at any rate.
That fine with you?

Seems fair. Not being terribly dense he tends to travel with sunglasses, but a surprise bright light would inconvenience him a lot more than a human.

Alrighty.
Darkness and lack of sight are going to be a major theme of the game, so I can't straight up give your character the ability to see clearly through the local (possibly magical) darkness but I can think of a few ways where it would still be useful. Also the sensitivity to light won't be a huge issue for the most part, but it could still show up at some point.
Go ahead and write the character up with the stunt worded for saying you have decent dark vision.

Quick clarification: low light vision or the more lore friendly infra red vision?

Hmm... I think infrared vision would be more situationally useful while bog standard dark vision would see more regular use.
I'm kind of leaning towards low light vision instead of infrared.

Alrighty. Now that I've got the two characters in, I'll try and start this soon. Still hammering out some details, but I'm pretty sure I've got enough to get the opening act up and running in a few days.

I have an idea for a character but the character sheet is going to have to wait for the weekend before I can submit it.

I don't mind waiting for a bit for you to get your character in. What's the idea, if I might ask?

Aspects Homeworld: Generic High Fantasy* Personality: Wet Behind the Ears Personality: Something to Prove
*On his homeworld, all Dwarves have a kind of stone skin. His skin functions as a non-Newtonian fluid. (The harder it gets hit, the harder it hits BACK) With practice he can use this property when at rest to shift his shape slightly. Not sure how to translate this ability into FATE though. I'm fine with not having it at the beginning.
Skills: * *, *, *, *, *, *,*,*,Engineering, *,*,*,Endurance
Stunt: One Hit to the Body
Let me know if you need more info.

How do you anticipate this power working? Changing the way you look to try and pass as other individuals? Giving yourself better ability to take hits (beyond what you've already taken)? Making weapons?

Yeah, you're right. Dodger, you can bump one of your skills up a level or take a second 1 point skill.
