Much like the beehives. Next item on the tour: Tame Murderbees.

I just have an image of Sam lightly twapping them on the nose when they try to be Murderbees.

Also on the fertilizers. Human waste, urine and fecal matter, are excellent fertilizers. I would not at all be surprised if the ship's septic systems were hooked up to a refinery that processed them and destroyed harmful bacteria and allowed them to be used in the hydroponic bays.
Also, yeah. We're gonna get you a giant murder kitty.

There's a lot of bees. That'll take a lot of twapping.

If I recall correctly there was talk of trying to synthesize a hormone spray that would render them docile to anyone wearing it, but we never got around to trying to make it.

For all we know it'd prove an irresistible lure to timber wolves and earth worms.

Great! I want to meet an earth worm and see how much of its job is turning the soil as opposed to have much of it is turning soil. It’s an all natural multitasker

I'd love to acquire a pack of timber wolves.

Yes, the flat tyre is a blatant attempt to find an excuse to get Samantha away from the Ship and to join you. There's a fair amount of political intrigue going to happen in Chyrellos if you want to keep the Primate off the Arch-Prelate's throne, and I think it'll be a good idea to get the new character to join the group before you all get embroiled in that mess.

I think Sam could do just as much good spending time at the ship as she could following around with us. Her choice, I guess.

She could, but that's entirely the problem; hanging about the Base and rolling Science every now and then doesn't seem like the sort of thing to make a wonderfully engaging game. Especially while the rest of you are off facing a far more narratively satisfying political drama off in Chyrellos.

I mean, I can just roll science while they save the world and they can return to my glorious new eco friendly sustainable empire. As long as the bow to their new queen, that’s sounds all fine for me :D
