Ghwerek is slightly bigger than an adult gorilla, and he's being very active and presumably his system is full of adrenalin. It's going to take a very heavy dose of sedative to slow him down, even before considering any regeneration, and the darts are designed to deliver an ordinary dose, not a heavy one.
The damage that the dart left to his ear is regenerating. Any sedative effects are not yet visible.

FYI, steady aim is a +2 you acquired by burning a turn; you don't need to spend a fate point on top of that to tag it.

Consequences cannot be regenerated. So acid-burned is going to be stuck there through the rest of this battle, at least.

Could Roger tag the Acid Burn consequence to boost his roll to +12?

He could, if he wanted to.

Query: if Arkady were to just lob his precious (the sound player) towards Ghwerek, would that count as a distraction or would he need to tag it?

Dodger77 wrote: CCC wrote: He could, if he wanted to. For a roll that already happened? Or in a subsequent roll? You can retroactively spend FATE points on a roll that happened just last turn. (You can do the retroactive FATE thing at any point, usually to make a roll that you barely failed). Of course, Ghwerek can then respond with his own FATE points if he wishes. (He can't tag Tougher Than Nails again retroactively because it's already tagged on that roll). You can do it on subsequent rolls as well. weremensh wrote: Query: if Arkady were to just lob his precious (the sound player) towards Ghwerek, would that count as a distraction or would he need to tag it? You can attempt to distract Ghwerek by rolling some skill (I'm not quite sure what Skill that would be, but any Skill you don't have is rolled at +0). Ghwerek would then respond by rolling his own appropriate skill. If you succeed in the roll, Ghwerek gains a very temporary Aspect (which might be called something like "Flinch") which can then be tagged, once, for free (or more than once, for FATE points); either way, the Aspect vanishes after a round.

Tentatively I'd be shooting for empathy; it would be Arkady's read on how likely Ghwerek would be to just ignore the treasure he's fighting for if someone simply tossed it to him. But if all it results in is one free tag for one person it doesn't sound terribly worth it.

If I think it might help I could aim for his face with another acid spray.
Burning chemicals in the eyes could prove distracting, as morbid as the thought might be.

Empathy can tell you how he will react to getting the tablet thrown, but it's not going to help you throw the tablet any better. Some sort of thrown weapon skill seems more conducive to that roll, I imagine. On the bright side, he'd be defending with Resolve, not Fists...
The problem with throwing acid at his eyes, Kajin, is that you can attack to distract or to damage. Not both. And in your case, the damage is way more effective.
Someone did have a plan for what to do if the Troll does makes a run for it, right? I mean, you don't live to the age of a couple of thousand without knowing when it's time to get out of dodge. And if he gets to the river and washes that acid off...
By the way: Getting rid of all your X's will take a five minute breather; in five minutes at his current speed, Ghwerek will be gone, so there's good reason to press the chase now if there's some way you can do it. (Even injured and crippled as he is, Ghwerek easily outruns any human). Ghwerek's Acid-burned minor consequence will vanish if he gets a chance to wash the acid off; the two moderate consequences will likely heal up after a good night's sleep. Or a good day's sleep, depending on exactly when he does it.

Isn't that supposed to be serious: sliced? Or does he have a feat allowing multiple moderates?
Oh, and strictly speaking we don't need a plan. Ghwerek is on the horns of a dilemma; either he turns and runs straight to outrun the knights, and all three shooters get to shoot at a defenseless target; or he turns and runs in the sort of random and serpentine way that will let him defend against getting shot, and both knights will easily keep up with him and get two free shots at his defenseless back. It's impossible for him to defend against both threats while running; he can't do both randomized and fast at the same time.

Ghwerek has a Stunt (Feel The Burn) that permits him to take a second moderate physical consequence. His fourth Consequence will be Severe.
Also note that neither the tazers nor the acid-sprayer have anything great going on in terms of range.
