I think we should start by raising the subject with Sir Ulath. There are several folks in our debt around here, and we are on a mission to help the kingdom; he should be able to tell us who we should best approach and how in order to help feed our people, and he has good reasons to want to tell us.

The only two people in our debt right now with much in the way of ability to provide financial support are Vanire and Radun, and Radun isn't exactly in a position to help us I don't think. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask, though.

Radun is probably good for a few coin if it comes to it.

He's currently in hiding. I doubt he has access to his money right now, though he'd probably be one of the first in line to give us a hand and/or trade with us down the line.

It depends on how far the locals have developed banking, but you're likely right.

It's something we could do, if they haven't developed banking all that much. Assuming the local cultures allow for it, anyway.

Even if they have issues with charging interest, there's still a lot of money to be made in services like letters of credit. Something to look at in the fullness of time.

How far along are synthetic, lab grown organs? I think there's a fair bit of research into it now. Would it be possible for us to grow generic organs with a low risk of rejection for transplant down the line? And genetically identical organs if we have tissue samples that don't get rejected?

Its doable with today's tech, but we're probably at least a decade away from it being avalible to the general public.

On the one hand, you are not exactly the general public. On the other hand, most of the medical equipment you have access to has recently gone a few millenia without any maintenance. You should probably check up with Dr. Vanderbilt before you go promising lab-grown organs to anyone.

But... it might well be something that you could arrange to have done. Eventually.

It was just a thought. I figure once we get the Queen awake and stabilized we can take tissue samples to grow her some new, undamaged organs. Eight months might be enough time to get that set up, right? Especially with regular shipments of food expediting out colony's growth.

Oh! Can we name our colony city/nation Novus Terra?

Another question. How big, precisely, is Fangorn Forest and the swampland? How much land do we collectively own?

I don't think the colonists are likely to want to name the place in Latin. Given the mix of colonists, something in English is probably going to be the name of the place whether the original namer likes it or not. Maybe Bob.

Though given Earth's actual urban history, you could do worse than betting on New City.

Well Novus Terra pretty much means New Land (I think), so New City isn't very far off the mark from there.

We shouldn't put it up to a submission and popular vote, though, otherwise our city might end up being called Colony McCityscape or something.

I figure it was just going to be called Pandora, or Pandora City.
