So I relieve the merchant of his moderate consequence, turn it in to a plus two on my roll, and with fate roulette that would be enough to push him into a major consequence? If that's how it works, I'd certainly be willing to give that a shot.

Y'know, I need to figure out how many fate points Arkady has left after this...I guess I should go reread the fate rules.

CCC processed it as two different attacks. Felix's attack was the one that dealt the Moderate Consequence, and like any fresh new aspect it can get immediately tagged free of charge. Felix, instead of using it next round, would be passing the tag on to you to use in the attack you make after he does.

The Moderate Consequence stays, since Arkady had nothing to do with it. You're only using it for your attack to nail the merchant even harder and press the advantage. As it stands you're hitting him for 4 stress which ticks off the fourth stress track, and if we add +2 to it it'll only tick off his sixth, but if we add +4 it'll turn into a Mild Consequence. But since he already has a Mild and a Moderate, it'll roll up straight past the both of them and become a Severe Consequence.

I've no clue, unfortunately.

At the very least we're about to crush the Man in Expensive Robes. Especially if CCC lets us do that this round instead of waiting next round to press the advantage. CCC said that the more consequences we inflict, the better a deal we'll get if we lose. If we win we can dictate whatever terms we want, within reason.

After that we'll hopefully be able to explore the city and put together a portfolio of who'dunnits at our leisure.

Unfortunately I was wrong. The version of Fate we're using doesn't allow for free tags on Consequences. So that plan is down the drain unless you want to spend one Fate point along with me, since I can't afford to be spending two on this alone.
