I don't think you can use a supplemental action for that. I think that's more for stuff like moving across the room or switching weapons.

Let me check my notes....
Hmm. You may be right. It would appear that placing a maneuver does not count as a supplimental action.
I'll edit my post.

If there's any sort of advantage to be had by flanking and positioning, we could use them to move to either side of the manticore while the Knights charge the front, gaining a combat bonus from engaging the enemy on three different sides.
I hope. On phone so can't check.

Yeah... you can't always use overflow to do much that's useful. But if you really wanted to swap weapons, then this would be the perfect opportunity.
Flanking and positioning is only useful if you tag a "flanking position" aspect.
Another point to bear in mind - once a creature starts taking consequences, those can be tagged in the same way as aspects can. (If you take a consequence, and you can think of some way to tag it to your advantage, you can do that too).
Edit: Wow, that manticore's luck was a bit extreme. I think that's the first time it's ever got a positive roll on its defense... and then a -4 in the same round.

The manticore is down!
Sir Ulath will be fine if he just gets five minutes to rest.

Are weapon and armor values not a thing in this version of Fate?

If we're going to be processing more meat in the short term, Nathan's survival skill should be more than sufficient to build a survival smoker to smoke the Manticore meat. We wouldn't be able to process huge amounts of meat with it and it wouldn't last more than a day or two, but with +5 Survival he could have something made in an hour or two that could smoke what we have.
Meanwhile, Felix should probably get to work on building the long term meat preserving center.

I have Survival at +4, and I believe we were using engeneering to build the smoker.
I think I could use survival to turn the meat into jerky and pemmican though.
Also, the Doc is gonna be mad. A whole new spiecies, and we're going to cook and eat it rather then let her do an autopsy.

Yeah that's more or less what I meant. Just straight up use your time to turn the meat into preserved food. The smoking facility would be for large scale meat preservation and just about anyone could use it safely and easily, I reckon. You'd be using your skill directly to turn the raw meat into smoked meat.

Yeah, survival to preserve meat now, engineering to build a facility that makes it easier for others.
Of course, what really takes time is cutting down enough trees to make room...

Spend a fate point on Fortune Roulette to bump my Alertness roll up or reroll entirely?

Your target roll, to see exactly what he was doing, is +4. You could try a reroll, or you could tag two aspects to guarantee success. (Statistically, a single reroll is rather unlikely to be enough).

Hmm... tag his Nervous Breakdown aspect? Say he's sufficiently distracted that it takes him a moment longer to enter the code in, giving me a better opportunity to look. If not, I could maybe tag Laser Focus? I'm not sure if it applies though, as it's something he puts his mind to and this is more of a spur of the moment kind of thing.
