Janny has started up the slope (100* angle or so).

Everyone else is outside of the tents (says me).

Nathan is nowhere to be seen.

David waves lamely at those who follow Janny up the hill. "I'll hold down the fort, I guess. I'll save my share of hiking for when we actually go somewhre."

'Good luck with that one. Maybe you should try using a rope.'

The scent of rain is still heavy in the air and the ground is kinda squishy-soggy under everyone's feet. Especially Janny as she slips, catching herself on her hands, managing to crawl to where she can put her feet on a rock.

"There's nothing to rope," notes Janny.

It's true. Its' just a leaf, grass, and fern-covered slope with the occasional mid-sized rock sticking out. There looks to be several hundred feet to "climb," and at this point, Janny's only made it up about 10. The ground is slick, but with good tread, sure footing, adn determination, there's sure to be a way up....

Janny looks down and blinks. "Hey! There's a muddy print on this rock! That Nathan must've gone up!" she grins, seeing now a few spots where the leaves and grasses are disturbed by sliding farther up the slope.

'Are you sure it's actually a footprint? The bus could have make marks on the way down. And what about that...guy?'

Mike watches Janny climb while gnawing on a granola bar, "Heh... Some people may not be able to make that without a rope or something tied off at the top... Im no super-model."

Yeah sure Janny, Nathan managed to climb up a muddy slope before any of us woke up. Hey I got one question is Nathan's stuff still here becuase in scenario 1 he takes it and leaves us, or scenario 2 he goes for a walk and gets lost.

Karolyn wakes up after her sleep, but decides to lay there a bit. As long as she doesn't open her eyes, she doesn't have to face her present circumstances. She wishes that the whole thing was just some bad dream.

Don looks over at Mike.
'Super models are whimps. If once of them were here, they'd probably, like, die or something. I dunno, botox withdrawal or something. Or the fact that we're currentlt stuck here. Man, does that suck. We should go about trying to make a grappling hook or something. That, or, if someone can get up there, take a rope with them and tie it off to...whatever. There's gotta be something, like a boulder or a sign or something.'

Mike grins and even in the dire situation, manages to crack out a joke. "Or a pothole."

Jared looks at Mike. "Weak. Lets try being optimistic. Maybe there'll be rabid wolves."

Laurie overheard Jared. "This isn't going to turn into some cute little online game, is it? 'Cause we could probably use a secret healer."
