OOC: Well, that was fun. If you want to hear the psychotic cat story, just ask.

*After the others variously leave and go to sleep, Gares heads over to the library. He then spends a little while getting a nice stack of books, then goes to one of the quiet rooms and begins working on both improving his mind and his ability to politely scoff at the laws of nature - more specifically, the law of gravity. Hopefully, leaving his stack of books and his cane on the table should dissuade people from believing that the room isn't in use, trying to claim it, and winding up in the infirmary after suffering a heart attack.*

A(nother) week goes by, etc etc, everyone is called to the briefing room one day urgently. Stington is more than a little agitated.

"Alright everybody, this one just came out of the pipeline, and its urgent. Approximately an hour ago a ghoul was spotted downtown, in a park. In the time since the count has been upped to over three hundred, and is still rising."

Jack clicks on the computer, and brings up a very simple map of a couple streets.

"They think that the center of the disturbance is somewhere in this area. You'll have to do some room-to-room, but the objective isn't to do a sweep and clear. Its to find the source of the disturbance, and eliminate it. We cant wait any longer, so I'm going to deploy the team now, and Gares will have to join you in... lets call it an hour and a half. That ok Gares?"

Three hundred ghouls in under an hour?! I can see why they don't want us to wait.

Judith mutters to herself. She heads down to the armory presumabley with the others to get armed and outfitted.

Aimee loses her ballance. "300?!?"

She regains it again and stands. "Right, Sir -- right away!" She follows Judith.

Until they manage to build a better sunblock, I suppose we really have no better options... Very well. I trust you all will be careful... It would pain me to no end if I had to retrieve your bodies in addition to hunting down the source of the ghouls.

"A Company is deploying as we speak to draw the ghouls off, and to contain the disturbance, but I suspect that there will still be a few dozen ghouls in the central area."

Stington shuts off the projector, and sinks into his chair.

In the armory Bill looks hassled, and lais out their geat silently.

"Good luck girls. Head to the helipad."

Aimee snatches her gear.

"Thanks Bill -- see you by morning!"

She waits for Judith, putting on her body armor over her jeans and shirt, and strapping her quiver to her leg. It's crossbow day, incidentally.

Once Jude's ready, she goes with her to the chopper.

Judith pulls on her body armor and checks her guns. She takes extra care to see that she has extra clips and that everything is in working order.

She looks over at the others when she's done.

Jimmy is there at the chopper, the rotors spinning up.

"Haul ass, folks. Lets go!"

(BE's the GM): Thomas and Pat likewise gear up and follow along.

Aimee hops on board and straps in. "Hiya, Jimmy, old pal!" She retrieves the last cherry twizzler from the bag in her jeans pocket.

oog: Aimee has her knife too, right? In the opposite boot as her quiver? Heh... do you KNOW about Aimee's footlong knife, Skitz?

OOC: Sure, why not? AImee has a crossbow, and a 9mm baretta, and a Big Knife. Judith has a hand cannon, Gares has another hand cannon (single shot) and a sword. Pat has an M-4 Carbine a .45 and another big knife, and Thomas has a nice tactical shot gun, and a sidearm. I won't even go into weapon selection of Jack Stington. Lets just say its impressive.

oog: Jack's coming too? YAY! I call dibs on being in HIS group when we (surely) split up.

Aimee munches her Twizzler.

Thomas grabs his gear, and attempts to finagle a few more grenades than he's supposed to have out of Bill. He follows along with the others.

OOC: No, Jack isnt, not when his foot is busted.

Bill tosses Thomas another pair of grenades, but shakes his finger.

"Don't blow up any flats. The government has to pay for the damages."

Judith tucks her glock and Magnum into their holsters and then heads out with the others. She's more quiet than usual, deep in thought as she climbs into the copter. Aimee has noticed that she's been sleeping pretty fitfully of late.
