Brecon rolls Discipline +3 to aim the effect, generating three shifts at Weapon 5 for an eight stress hit. Both of the creatures suffer a moderate consequence.

Both creatures howl in surprised agony as the orb shatters, freezing their arms solid.

Rolling initiative...

+8 Fanged Horror One
+4 Brecon Sagar
+3 Fanged Horror Two

Charles pauses at the sight of the red light around the door. "That doesn't look good." he murmurs. He asks Felix "I take it that's where we expect to find Mr. Vaz? Do you know what's making that red light?"

"No idea. Twenty bucks says it's mood lighting," Felix whispers back under his breath. "I say we just toss a firebomb in there and be done with it. Any of you guys got anything like that?"

"...I've still got that lighter." replies Charles. "We could make a firebomb if this place has a wine cellar, I guess. Or we could go with plan B... you guys wait next to the door, out of sight, I wander in and draw some of them out, and we get them in the corridor. Divide and conquer."

"What is it with you people and the 'let's split up, gang!' This isn't Scooby Doo. When you're fighting monsters that can overwhelm a man in seconds, you don't 'split up', you stay together so that while they're eating one guy, the other can avenge his bloody death!" Oz eyes the others with some asperity. "No. I say we keep together. If we go in, we go in together."

"Split up?" asks Charles, quietly. "I'm not going to be stepping more than one step into the room. You'll be right next to the door. I'm not suggesting splitting up, I'm suggesting an ambush."

"Ah! In that case, you first." Oz gestures grandly toward the door as he starts looking around for something handy to break over someone's head. Irregardless, he waits for Charles to lure someone out where he can blindside him.

Spending a Fate Point to tag Pay No Attention to That Man Behind the Curtain and using Inhuman Strength. Whatever comes out that door is really, really going to get it.

"I like that plan," Felix lines up opposite Oz and prepares to lay down a severe beating on whoever it is that comes through the door. "Go get us a big one you lucky bait, you."

Stepping into the open, Brecon snaps his baton open. He cups his hands together at his side, his stance wide, and with a shout of "Hadoken!" channels the energy in a +6 Force Slam, tagging both Fanged Horrors' moderate consequences to help control the mass of power, and shatter the monsters' frozen arms.

Conviction:+4
Discipline: +3, +1 baton focus item.

Fang One rolls Fists +3 Vs Weapons +3. Brecon suffers a three stress his, filling up his third physical stress box
Coming at Brecon with killing intent gleaming in its eyes, the first Fanged Horror charges forward and sweeps down one of its massive claws in an attempt to rip asunder the young Jedi Cosplayer. Brecon manages to interpose his weapon between himself and the heavily clawed forearm of the creature, but it's much too strong for him. The creature's claws manage to find home in his shoulder before he can bring the attack to a halt.

Brecon rolls Discipline +0. Two aspects are tagged, bringing the Discipline score up to +4. Brecon takes a five shift mental hit, checking his third stress box and suffering a mild mental consequence for improperly channeled energy.
The energy of the spell screams through Brecon's mind as he channels more energy than he can effectively bring to bear, but he manages to successfully control the spell. Pushing away from the creature in a desperate bid to gain some distance between himself and it, Brecon flings his hand forward and sends a salvo of pure force straight into its gut. The creature goes flying back into its buddy, and it in turn is slammed back into the wall though it is none the worse for wear. The both of them spend the turn trying to extricate themselves from the tangle.

The injuries the two creatures have suffered thus far almost visibly start to become better. The cracks and splits caused by the breaking of frozen flesh have already started to knit themselves back together.
Both Fanged horrors take a four and two stress hit respectively. Both creatures make use of their Supernatural Recovery power to heal away their moderate consequences. By the end of the next exchange the injuries will be gone.

Reeling back from the hit and the stress of the spell, Brecon reaches out using his Telekinesis Glove, calling up a number of sharp jagged broken bones from the carrion pile, and hurling them at his foes, hoping to impale them and pin them to the wall.

Fanged Horror One rolls Fists +2 Vs Weapons +6 and takes a two stress hit for using Fists against Weapons.
The first creature picks itself up and comes at Brecon once more. Brecon is more prepared this time, his steel baton smacks brutally against the creatures clawed arm with a thick meaty impact, easily knocking the attack aside. It has finished healing the previous wounds from the ice bomb, the only indication they existed at all being some angry looking red marks where the damage used to be.

Brecon rolls Discipline +5 Vs Discipline -1. Six shifts are generated at Weapon 2 for a total of eight stress. Fanged Horror Two gets his fourth stress box ticked off. Fanged Horror One already has the fourth box ticked off, so the damage rolls up and becomes a mild consequence.

Using his enchanted item, Brecon reaches out to a pile of nearby bones and uses his magic to throw them at his assailants. The both of them are hit fairly hard by the impact. The sharpened point of a broken femur bone lodges itself an inch deep in the flank of the first creature, though the injury doesn't seem to be slowing it down.

Fanged Horror Two rolls Fists +4 Vs Weapons +5
The second creature comes charging at Brecon from the side, hoping to blindside him. He sees it coming, however, and manages to parry the sharpened claws away at the lost second. This attack came a lot closer than the last one, however, leaving Brecon a little shaken.

Charles takes a moment to prepare himself, then staggers forward to grab the doorknob. He opens the door, then collapses against the doorframe as though too drunk to walk straight.

Assuming that there's anyone in the room, he addresses them as follows:

"Heyeyeyey dude, you guysh got a - got a bathroom I can ushe?"

The first thing that becomes apparent is the source of the ominous red light. A fire burning in the hearth of a fireplace gives off the red light. Within the glowing embers there can be seen a picture of the foyer as well as the tunnel leading up to the laboratory. He can quite easily see his own ass in the flame as he hangs against the door looking into the room. Felix, Oz, and Neil can all be seen standing next to him waiting in ambush.

Standing next to the fire are three vampires. One of them, presumably Vaz, is standing within a glowing circle of copper on the floor. "Well, if it isn't the young Changeling, with his three friends the traitor, the chimp, and the White Court chump laying in wait. Kill them now, if you will." With a spoken word and a gesture in the general direction of the tunnel, Vaz steps forward and breaks the circle of power at his feet. The power stored in the circle rushes forward in an ear shattering howl, blasting a sizable chunk out of the wall and flinging the entire group back out into the Foyer.

Everyone rolls against a four stress attack
Felix rolls Endurance +2 and takes one stress. His first stress box is ticked off.
Neil Hewlett rolls Endurance +3 and takes a one stress hit. His first stress box is ticked off.
Ozymandius rolls Endurance +3 and takes a one stress hit. His first stress box is ticked off.
Charles Cane rolls Endurance +2 and takes a two stress hit. His second stress box is ticked off.

Everyone lands sprawled amongst the debris of what used to be the secret passage as two very pissed off vampires come charging at them.

"I think they were expecting us." Oz says dryly as he picks himself out of the rubble. He sets himself against the onrushing vampires, ready to send some inhumanly strong fists toward Vampire Lieutenant Two.
