"Well, take my vote as an abstain, then," weatherwax says with a shrug. "I want to shindig!"

She wiggles her nose. The glass shards of the disco ball come together and hover over the group.

"Let's dance!" she says, clapping her hands and doing the twist, the swim, the mash potato as Fratellis's "Flathead" seems to come out of nowhere at all.

The old man frowns and hmms and ums. "Everyone here seems like such decent folk! I can't seem to choose! Hmm. Ummmm.... Frownnn..."

He finally sighs and raises a finger. "It cannot be the knight, for surely the knight must stands for justice. It cannot be the lady, for the lady is beautiful, and all know that beautiful women must be protected. So... it must be one of you three." He looks between AlternateTorg, Stan Cold, and Kajin. "The most suspicious one is... you!" He points his finger at... AlternateTorg. "Because you! talk! funny!" he punctuates each exclamation point with a further point of his finger, almost falling over.

«If I get banned, I'm starting my own shindig for banned people that will be way better than this one,» sulks AlternateTorg.

"Oooooh." says CCC, looking at the screen. "I can count to two!"

chaosman has been studying the group for some time and it seems he has made his decision. "In the absence of further proof, I will vote in step with my fellow knight. I choose AlternateTorg." He then clanks over to the buffet table.

"Oooooh." says CCC, before switching to the oddly deep voice again. "Less than 24 hours to the close of the voting. Remember, I can end the voting at any time, as long as it is Monday in my timezone... in which the comic goes up at 7a.m.".

CCC stares at the screen for a bit, but is distracted by the nice shiny wrench.

"Wheeeeee! Time!" CCC pulls out a large hammer from behind his back - which is a bit surprising, as the hammer is at least five times the size of the green Kiki - and spins it round idly in one paw. The merest glimpse and everyone knows exactly what this item of power is - it is the mythical; the legendary; the banhammer.

It makes a *whummm-whummmmm* noise as CCC idly spins it round in one paw. "AlternateTorg! You got more votes than anyone else! Congratulations!" *whummmmm-whummmmmmmmm* "Any last words?"

AlternateTorg steps boldly into hammer range. «Time to ditch this "party,"» he grumbles. «Hammer time.»

*whummmm-whummmmmmm-whummmmm-whummmmmmmm-whummmmm-WHAM!*

The impact of the banhammer is enough to crack the floor, shake the table so that the punch ripples, make the glasses cling together like a chorus of little bells, and cause the broken pieces of the disco ball to leap about on the floor. However, it is not enough to ban AlternateTorg, who stands there unscathed, despite the direct hit.

"Oooooh." says CCC. "You're a were-mod! I've got to use the other side of the hammer!"

He spins the hammer about, and...

*whummmm-whummmmmmm-whummmmm-whummmmmmmm-whummmmm-WHAM!*

Again, the table shakes, the glasses clink and chime together, the punch ripples, the disco-ball bits jump about. But this time, were AlternateTorg was, there is now... nobody. AlternateTorg is just... gone.

"Gah! Weatherwax's face just changed! What happened?!" The obsidian statue yells, both hands placed on the side of his face like The Scream.

"Oh, yeah," weatherwax says, adjusting her hat. "Well, just thought I'd try a little something out since I'm at a party. You know us witches and our strange, morphing ways!"

"Everyone woman has the right to accessorize, after all." The old man gives a slight smile before gazing in the direction of where AlternateTorg was. "Well, at least we've gotten one of the villains."

There's a vibration that shakes the room. The lights go out! In the darkness, there's the *whummm-whummmmm-whummmmm-whummmmmm-WHAM!* sound of the Banhammer.

Then the lights flicker on again. CCC is standing conspicuously next to the lightswitch. Everyone is standing as they were... weatherwax in her new face, Ruan Quixote with his lance at the ready... with one exception.

Where Stan Cold was standing is just a banhammer-shaped hollow on the floor.
