I received a missive from parties unknown. I will reveal it's contents only when I deem the time right. This is not yet the time.

"Thankyousomuch!" weatherwax says with a toothy grin and eyes closed. "They're so lovely!"

She snaps her fingers and mutters, "anything that can see me, please be something I can't see."

Little pops are heard in the bouquet. She opens her eyes and takes a sniff.

"Are we missing anyone?" she says, the flowers muffling her question.

"Now madame, of course you are not a pretty maiden!" The old man approaches weatherwax and gives her a courtly bow. "You are a lady! Of the finest standing, if my eyes are not mistaken. To name a beautiful flower such as yourself a mere pretty maiden would approach being an insult! Truly you are the very finest example of womanhood these old eyes have seen and it is truth that these eyes have seen much..." He looks wistful as his eyes look off into the distance, no doubt envisioning the damsels his eyes have seen over his long years.

Weatherwax's transparently white skin turns a deep scarlet and she fidgits with her flowers, eyeballs flickering in and out of sight between the petals.

"Aha, oh, how k-kind," she stutters. "W-well, that IS what I get for fishing for compliments. Ahem, um!"

"SO, will this shindig begin or what?" She says a little too loudly.

"It's already begun, I would think," Kajin declares in an equally loud voice. "Just waiting on people to begin casting there votes, is all. While we're all waiting for the people to begin placing their votes as to who the Were-Mod might be, I suggest we all have a little fun!"

Kajin moves over to the wall and hits a button. A disco ball promptly falls from the ceiling and smashes into the floor.

"Oops. I knew I should have had the contractor install that thing," Kajin laughs merrily. "Well, at least the smoke machine is working."

"Ooooh!" says CCC, looking at the disco ball. "Shiny!"

In a darkened room outside the testing area video monitor casts its dim illumination. "ooh. look at them still talking while there's science to do!"

«So two of you are were-mods?» AlternateTorg muses. «How could we possibly know who they are? We have no information to go on. Then again, we aren't being asked to lynch anybody, just ban them, so I suppose it's not so horrible...» He begins a whispered recital of some kind of strange, alternate-universe Portuguese nursery rhyme, pointing at a different person with each syllable. When the rhyme ends, his finger points to Stan Cold. AlternateTorg looks apologetic. «I guess you're getting my vote. Sorry.»

VOTE: Stan Cold

"That's fine. Coincidental, actually, because I was choosing you from the get go. Not really an eenie-meenie sort of thing, but more of an instant, heartless bastard decision. Well met."

VOTE: AlternateTorg

"Well, I can't choose someone who gave me flowers, or someone who showed me concern, or someone who, ah, was really, really nice to me *blush*

weatherwax eenie meenies between chaosman and gregnier.

I guess it's you, gregnier. No offense meant!"

VOTE: gregnier

"Hey, weatherwax, gregnier isn't playing. He isn't even here in this room. That post was purely meta. Can't vote for someone who isn't participating."

"Awwwww, but...but it was so much easier to vote for someone who isn't here!"

weatherwax commences with the sorcery-enhanced puppy-dog eyes.

AlternateTorg is rather taken aback by Stan Cold's response, but says nothing.

"Wheeee! Votes!" cheers the green Kiki. A large screen on one wall lights up:

Quote:
Stan Cold (1) - AlternateTorg
AlternateTorg (1) - Stan Cold
gregnier (1) - weatherwax

"But Greg can't be a weremod." adds CCC. "He's not in the room."

After staring mournfully at the screen for a moment, CCC continues in a surprisingly deep voice "Voting ends next week Monday, or as soon as everyone has voted, whichever comes first. In the case of a tie, the person banned will be selected randomly from the highest-voted people. Gregnier is immune to being randomly selected."

[Meta.. Indeed. Sorry I was just throwing a wrench into this. muahhahahahahhah! -G]
