Ginger pokes the first grey tile with her staff, hoping that this will result in both lava falls being stopped. "Whenever we press a tile, we should make sure nobody's under one of the stopped lava falls."

The first lava fall stops. The other one starts up again.

"Well, hmmm." The Lady taps her chin. "This looks simple. I think the only problem we may run in to is trying to figure out which other tile brings on the inferno. After that, we can pass the lava drips one by one until we reach the temple."

She looks up at the Obsidian overhang that she is standing under, then reaches for the dagger at her leg.

"I should have brought another one of these," she sighs. She presses the third grey tile, waits for the drip in front of her to stop, then tosses the dagger at the fourth grey tile, trying to hit it square in the center, and stiffens, waiting for the worst.

As before, the lava fall up ahead fades away. The Lady tries tossing a dagger up and over, trying to hit the next grey tile. Unfortunately, it would seem that the Lady's dagger throwing-fu is not terribly strong. It lands just short of the tile. It is, thankfully, still on the path.

"Maybe it would be better to move in small groups? We might want to be sure we can get everyone under a pillar, just in case there's another trap on a tile up ahead."
He scoots forward on the path, carefully avoiding the grey tiles, and stopping just before the tile the lady was aiming for with her dagger.

Nothing happens to Stocky as he moves forward.

"Well, that was embarrassing," the Lady mutters.

She stomps off around the stopped lava drip, picks up her dagger, and stomps back to the obsidian Overhang.

"Here," she says, jutting the handle of the dagger at the newest Mr. Stocky. "Can you toss this at the grey tile? Obviously I'm not someone who has the upper body strength."

"Watch yer heads, folks," Stocky says taking the offered dagger. Once he's sure everyone is either out of the room or is safely under a spire, he'll maneuver himself to the right side of the gray tile the Lady was aiming at and, making sure to be as much under the obsidian spire as possible, drop the dagger from about 6" to attempt to activate the gray tile.

(OOC: Just to be clear, using the diagram from the first page: Stocky should have started on the black tile (which would be #12 from the entrance) just before the 4th gray tile. The first, third and fourth lava drips are still active, but #2 is off. Assuming all that is true, he'll move toward the wider part of the spire, onto what appears to be another black tile (to the right as seen from the entrance.) and drop the dagger on the #4 gray tile.)

As the dagger drops onto the tile, the same sigil as before flickers to life. The next lava (the third one) fall up ahead fades away, even as the second one starts back up again.

Stocky carefully reaches down and picks up the dagger, grasping the hilt between his thumb and fingertips so as not to come in contacts with the tile. Assuming nothing changes, he'll move forward and inspect the next grey tile.

(OOC: Is there enough room on the sides to step around the gray tile without triggering it?)

(Carefully, yes.)

The next grey tile looks just like the other grey tiles. There are no indications whether it will simply remove the next lava fall, or whether it will cause the ceiling to collapse down again.

Stocky will edge around the next grey tile, being very careful not to touch it, and get under the fourth spire. He'll wait for the Lady to move up if she's going to.

"Um... I don't want to sound dense, but what should I do?"

"Stay well out of the way." recommends Enver, taking care to keep following his own advice.

Ginger nods. "Yes, we're risking enough of us out there as it is. Watch them closely so that we know what to do when we follow, or what not to do if they get killed." She regards the others standing outside the room with a wry smile. "Don't worry, I'm sure everyone will have their turn to be the guinea-pig."
