But it's extremely British! Like, Bakura British! :sasha:

As for Sara, think of a combination between Tinkerbell and Kortana, only with a bit more cursing.

Still, you don't have to spend points for that. Although I could see having a cockney accent as a complication.

So... it's like Army of Darkness... only Miskatonic University and the adjacent Marine base got pulled through (and not just a car) and Ash is an entire unit of Force Recon Marines...?

I could be down with that. One of my best buddies from high school is an instructor at Lejeune right now, crazy motherglorber. Gimme a day or two to suss something out, ok?

Will do.

In terms of actual military might involved, there was a full Marine Expeditionary Unit in the harbor that got pulled along, plus another MEU's worth of gear, vehicles, and personnel, plus some odds and ends just for giggles. Then there's the university, which specialized in high energy physics and sustainable resource development. (Hey, it's California.)

So more CalTech, less Miskatonic... gotcha.

I feel like this game is gonna be 1632, ramped up to eleven plus fantasy elements. And I like it.

Looks good Kajin. You might want to specialise your spellcasting skill a little bit to get some more bang for your buck, and maybe some kind of skill with a weapon. All good otherwise!

Skitz, I really recommend tracking down a copy of The Doomfarers of Coramonde. It's an awesome read, and a heck of a lot of fun. I think you'll like it.

How do I specialize? I'm not sure how to stat that.

Well, instead of simply dumping all available points into spellcasting, you take one, and add a specialization on the end, so:

Spellcasting 9

Becomes

Spellcasting 8 (Necromancy)

Then you spend another point to specialise further.

Spellcasting 7 (Necromancy)(Control Undead)

For basic spellcasting, you skill would be 7. For Necromancy your skill level would be 14. For controlling undead your skill would be 16. That's 7 points higher then if you were to just go for straight up spellcasting. Useful, yes?

Can I have multiple specializations?

Like say:

Spellcasting 12

Becomes

Spellcasting 7 (Necromancy) (Controlling Undead)
(Evocation) (Fire) (Lightning)

Could it work like that?

That's exactly how it works, and yes you can.

Just to prevent confusion, Fire and Lightning are both sub specialties of Evocation, not one another. You could specialize further however, by specializing in a specific spell, Fireball for example.

Oh, and this is a big one: You Can Only Cast Spells Equal To Your Spellcasting Skill Level. So if Kajin had Spellcasting 7 he could cast up to 7th level cleric spells, such as: control weather, destruction, greater scrying, regenerate, and resurrection.

Would the ability to augment the undead count as a sub-specialty of Necromancy or a specific spell with multiple uses?
