OOC: whaaa.... I must be going crazy...

"I did though..." uncertainty crosses Alexander's face "...didn't I? It all happened so fast... I mean... I must have. I... was going to..." Realizing that he is not helping his case at all, Alexander retreats further and sits down on the park bench again. Hanging his head he murmers "has everyone I've ever accused been innocent? Is that why they left me alive?"

Lord Robert looks at each person in turn, and once again finds himself saying, "I must ask that you all vote...the day grows long and our time grows short."

Joseph crosses his arms. "I have cast my vote on who I believe to be the wolf, and I refuse to change it. The evidence is too much for me to deny."

OOC: 24 hour warning. Tomorrow at 3 EST, this day ends
EDIT: OOC: Unless, of course, the majority is reached...

Lord Robert looks around. "You still have yet to reach a majority consensus. We have roughly one hour of light left, I give you until then to choose. Alexander, you currently have three votes...should no majority be reached, it will be you who is slain."

"You have no evidence. Neither does anyone else," says Moses.

VOTE: Alexander

Lord Robert nods. "The votes are cast. Alexander, you have been chosen to die. Have you any last words?"

OOC: Alexander, post a death scene.

Alexander gives a sigh... for some reason knowing that he is about to die has taken a weight off his shoulders.

"Very well..." he intones "I am ready. I did not expect to live this long, and I don't grudge any of you this death. I would much rather die here and now in the presence of my friends than alone in the night, as one of you will. I have said proof lies only in death, so here is the proof you seek."

Alexander slowly removes his coat and gets down on his knees in the center of the cobbled road, facing away from the town guard. "Be quick..." he says coldly, emotion threatening to tug at the corner of his voice.

The guard's sword sings through the air and there is a wet smack as it neatly removes Alexander's head from his shoulders. Alexander's body slumps forward, spilling blood across the cobbles like an overturned cup.

As the pool of red slowly spreads, no transformation takes place. He was human.

"It seems the last wolf is cunning, and hides well. I fear our time is short...after tonight, only five of you will live. The Great Wolf is near to winning his perverse game."

Moses shelters Charity from the scene.

"Da** it!" the man curses. "Da** one of you," he says, eyeing the group as he escorts his daughter away.

"I pray that God will strike you down, whichever of you is the beast," Moses glares, then exits the scene with Charity.

Joseph watches Moses walk away. "One more day, I won't let you get away with this." He slowly walks home, an angered look on his face.

*Mervyn looks down at the body*

I've failed...again.

*His eyes narrow*

I won't fail again! I won't!

OOC: Look for the new day tomorrow afternoon...sorry, it's been a busy weekend.

Ritz falls to her knees. She stares at the body for a while before walking back to the inn and locking up. She sets out some glasses and cleans them before heading to bed.
