This is the story of a group of acquaintences who start out on a weekend camping trip... and end up lost. No matter which way they turn, they can't seem to escape the forest. The longer they spend there, the longer they think that perhaps there really isn't a way out.
Escape? Such a strong word, it would seem, but if anything, an understatement. Especially once they come to realize that they are not alone. There's something out there... something that they can sense in the forest, in eachother, and in the night.
It's the something that drives them in CiRCLES....
CiRCLES is a very descriptive, storylike RPG. It's also the first ever RPG that I'm GMing, but I'm confident that I can handle it. I'm around often enough, after all!
WANTED: a group (no more than 10, please) of Sluggites who enjoy a good horror story.
I'm very open to suggestions right now as to the nature of the group... so open, in fact, that I'm going to let the interested parties pick it. My guess is that it's going to be a bunch of teens out to booze it up (PLEASE surprise me!). I wouldn't mind a group of scouts or a bunch of businesspeople out on a retreat, either. Whatever floats your boat, my fellow Sluggites! The catch is, you must all be a part of the same group.
Oh. You're going to have to post regularly, too. Once a day would be wonderful, once every two days is still okay... but I wouldn't want left behind in the woods, or in the conversation. If you're not going to be around for 5-7 days, let me know somehow and draw my attention to it.
If you don't post in CiRCLES for 7 days without somehow contacting me, you're dead (and it surely won't be pleasant).
Any takers? Say so below, and happy trails to you...!

Crake shall join this party of rouges!
trumpets blare and a banner unfurls form a nearby tree that reads...

Yay!
Please feel free to debate on what kind of group you are and why you're in the woods.
'CiRCLES Roaster,' something wrote: SaveTheGreyhounds - Laurie Sinclair waffle - Tom Courbette Marauder_Pilot - waiting Crake - Justin Westman Morthum - Nathan White Kiroth 6 - Karolyn Alexa Elwood ZetaStriker - David Beyer Agent_Jarot - Dave Jarot Salamander - waiting SSJJared - Jared Avnet Ssj Bunbun - Mike Biernacki The_Confused_One - John Beltran
You arrive... by bus....
FYI edit: Yes. I meant Roaster. It's just a bit of the old boards I decided to bring. Someties it's Roaster, sometimes it's Rooster... but maybe, just maybe I mean it. Bwa-ha!

Do you mean "Roster" or are you going to Roast use painfully and firely?

Group Ideas:
-Club hiking trip
-Some sort of weekend retreat
-Part of a camp
-Crashed Greyhound bus
-Rafting trip going horribly wrong
EDIT: I like the bus crash most; it gives us the most freedom with our characters

Yeah, I like the bus crash, too.
Just anything but the rafting trip, because I can hear the 'Deliverance' jokes banging on the gates...
(Nevermind that they had canoes, not rafts, it's the same general idea.)

Hmm. The problem with the bus crash is it leaves us with a very convenient highway on which the bus was travelling. We'll have to do some gymnastics to prevent us from just hitching or walking out.
How about we combine a couple of these? A bus carrying a club hiking trip collides with a van carrying a weekend business retreat. Toss the entire mess over a very steep cliff and we're done. Mix and match the two vehicles to your tastes. That gives us almost the same range of backgrounds as a greyhound, without having to write around the fact that they don't tend to travel remote areas.
