Three days have passed since Team 5 finished their first mission. During that time, they completed 4 more D rank missions each as mundane as the last. Training at night helped them, but by now it was obvious they were ready for something tougher...

Episode 6: Mysterious Jutsu! Mission to the Hidden Village of Metal!

In the morning, Ino stood outside the Ninja academy, waiting for her students. Well, I guess Godaime was right about them... they've done well on all the missions they've done this week so far. Perhaps they are ready for a C rank mission... although I really wonder what she has in mind...

Long nights and days spent with Shikamaru had paid off for the small ninja. He had studied the sensei's techniques, playing games of chess and Go with the older ninja, and speaking of past battles and theoretical situations.

He might have learnt more than he did, but Zeshin was determined to build up his body as well. After the last game of chess, or discussion, Zeshin headed out to train. Mostly sprints, forcing his body to react faster, to answer him with speed when he asked for it.

This morning, Zeshin rose early, braided his hair and tucked it back into the plain shirt he had pulled on. The end of the braid still hung out below the shirt, but it was somewhat out of the way. Gathering his satchel, he checked it again for the medicines, bandages and various supplies he'd need for his mission. Well, hopefully he wouldn't need them, but being prepared was something he'd heard Shikamaru stress time after time.

"You've been neglecting your bloodline studies."

The boy looks up, a blush starting to spread up his neck as he turns to face his grandmother.

"Yes. There's so much to learn, I . . . I want to learn it all, but there's no time!"

She smiles, but shakes her head even as she does so.

"I understand, but the power that lives within you isn't to be denied. I know you study the workings of the body and the healing those without our powers can do. However, the skills given to us by our blood are an enormous help in healing. If you find yourself in a situation where you need to see the problem, what will you do?"

Zeshin lets out a sigh and nods.

"You're right. I will study more. It is in my blood and I must master it,"

He walks over, intending to slip by and grab a bite to eat on the run. As he does, his grandmother hugs him tightly.

"We're both proud of you boy."



Later that morning, Zeshin, a half eaten apple in hand, skids to a stop outside the Ninja academy. He grins at Ino and bows slightly.

"Good morning, Sensei. Am I the first?"

Ino chuckles at Zeshins question. "Do you even have to ask? You're always early, Zeshin. Whether it's for classes, missions, or training, no one has ever seen you later than 15 minutes early."

He grins at her. The long hours he'd spent with her husband had made him a little more comfortable around her. She was still kind of scary, but he was friends with Yami after all. After her, no one was really all that scary.

"The earlier I am, the more time I have to ask questions!" He laughs, all the more because it was true. "So! What're we doing today, Sensei? Have you seen how well my net's working on the river? It makes cleaning it a breeze."

Tromping along on his high shoes, Shirate is heard long before he comes into view. He waves to Ino-sensei and Zeshin. Then he falls on his face. "Blast you, Oyaji," he mutters to himself. When he stands up again, it is noticed he is nursing a very minor limp. "He said he'd never try to actually injure me....."

Zeshin walks over and kneels at the other boy's leg. He touches it with careful hands, if Shirate will let him.

"It doesn't seem to be too damaged, bruised yes, but not badly hurt. I can heal it if you'd like?"

Shirate waves Zeshin off. "Its nothing, just a twinge. But it seems it disrupts my balance, so...." he takes the geta off, and strap them to his back. "Guess i'll go barefoot today, see how my stealth training is." He shakes his head. "Oyaji thinks i can use the jutsu," he puts some emphasis on it, as in the last few days, he refuses to mention his bloodline in public, but Zeshin should understand, as it isnt the first time Shirate has done it, "to block strikes, so he has me try to form shields, but hes still too strong, and pushing a bit too hard..."

She then looks around. "Now, where's our Girl and Dog pair?"

Zeshin shrugs. "I'm not sure. Perhaps she slept in . . ."

As what she says sinks in, his grin widens. "Something harder? Do you mean . . ." He studies her face, looking for clues. "A higher ranked mission?"

His tone is tentitive, as if he really hopes it's true, but finds it hard to believe.

Kirika spent late into the night practicing the new Jutsu learned from Ino-sensei, she also trained her self very hard physically. She had been practicing so hard she didn't notice the sun had started to lighten the sky ever so slightly. So she quickly laid down and went to sleep. She felt a sharp bite on her leg, and noticed the sun was now high in the sky. She quickly ran out the door and ran to where she was suppossed to meet her team. They should have been able to hear her screeching half a mile away.

Ino looks up, smugly grinning as Kirika approaches. With a hint of sarcasm, she shouts, "Hey, sleepyhead! Glad to see you could join us! We were about to leave without you!" Once Kirika and Inuki get there, she says, "Alright, let's go in and get our mission."

Inside Godaime's office, the 70-year-old woman was sitting in her chair, looking over a pair of scrolls labeled C. As the three arrived, She grinned as she stood up, putting down one scroll and raising another. "Team 5. I am pleased to tell you that today, you will be going on your first C-rank mission." With that, she takes the scroll and places it on her desk. Ino walks over and picks it up, and then reads out loud.

"C Rank Mission: You are to travel to the Hidden Village of Metal to the West, deliver the enclosed letter to the village head, and also verify the existence of a new form of Ninjutsu developed in the village." Ino then rolls it back up, pocketing the letter. Looking at her kids, she says, "So, you guys up for it?"

As soon as the C rank mision is announced, Zeshin lets loose a muffled "YES!" which he quickly stifles, waiting for the rest of the information.

When he hears about the existance of a new Ninjutsu, his eyes widen, and sparkle with anticipation. "Wow! That sounds great! Do you think . . ." He stops, trailing off, but the fact that he really, really, really wants to know what this new form is, and whether or not he might learn it is painfully obvious.

Ino grins. "As soon as I read that, I figured you'd want to learn it, Zeshin. However, it all depends on capability. This is a New Ninjutsu, so it may work totally different than the ones we're used to. In any case, the country of metal is a Neighboring allied village. They came into existence about ten years back, and was actually formed by a few ninjas from Konoha. We should be received well. However, confirming the Jutsu might be a challenge. Anyway, I want you to get packed for the trip and meet me at the west gate in an Hour."

Upon reaching his house, he runs up to his room and grabs a larger satchel which he fills with clothes, toiletries, some books and a larger medical kit. With that done, he runs back downstairs and into the kitchen where his mother and grandmother should be.

His mother sits at the kitchen table, shucking peas as she reads a book. At Zeshin's entrance she looks up, quickly noting his large satchel. Her eyes widen, and she quickly looks down at the peas.

"So you have a mission that'll take you away from the village?"

Zeshin, normally quite observant, is too excited by the mission to notice his mother's lack of enthusiasm. As he speaks, he grabs some bread, cheese and fruit wrapping them up and putting them in his bag.

"Yep! It's to the Metal village! They have a new jutsu, and I get to see if I can learn it!"

He dances in place with excitement, strands of hair which have escaped from his braid fly around his face like a silver halo.

Her expression once more under control, Zeshin's mother looks up and smiles. "That doesn't sound like a D rank mission."

He nods, a huge grin on his face. "It's a C ranked mission! Already!" The boy runs up and kisses his mother, giving her a hug. "Tell Gran, okay? I'll study on the trip, and I'll have some of the bloodline jutsu under control by the time I get back. Okay?"

He grins, and hugs himself with happiness.

"I've got to go. I love you mom!"

With that, he turns and runs out of the room, back to where the others are waiting.

how exciting I haven't been on a trip in years Kirika runs home, finding it empty she grabs a few sets of clothes and mentally chastises herself again for being late. She quickly gathers the things and goes to to the gate to meet the rest of her team.

Ino meets the three at the gate. "Alright, good to see everyone on time. We'll be moving with good speed to get there; we should reach the entrance to the country of metal sometime in the afternoon. If you have any more questions about the mission, do not hesitate to ask on the way. Now, let's go."

With that, she kicks off into a run towards the west path from Konoha.

Shirate runs quickly, but surprisingly quietly in his wooden shoes. His hand held in front of him is the only hint that he is molding chakra. That, and the unnaturally light way his feet move over the ground. He grins self consciously and says to noone in particular. "Have to keep up my training, after all."

Ino smirks as they run behind her qithout saying a word. "No questions, then? Alright, we'll get there faster if we focus on running..."

By mid-afternoon, Team 5 ended up reaching The gates to the country of metal. the difference between the country of metal and country of fire is instantly apparent; while the country of fire is very forested and towns traditionally built, the country of metal is much more open, with some deserts off in the distance, and towns have many houses made out of Brick and steel.

As the team walks through the gate, they see a female jounin sensei vigorously training three genin in taijutsu. All of them seem to be wearing Hitai-Ate that probably represent the village of metal.

The tallest of the three genin is rather strongly built, although he seems a bit slow. He is wearing a grey colored outfit with a white sheet around his waist. His hair is short and brownish-blond.

In the middle of the three in terms of height is a female genin, who seems to be carrying a weirdly shaped Kunai, thin near the middle and two rounded points at the top. She wears a blue vest shirt over a tight black shirt, and white pants. Her blond hair is tied back, with the front hair falling down in front of her.

The shortest of the three (and boy, is he short compared to his teammates. He looks about ten,) is obviously the fastest of the three, and also adapts best to his teacher's moves, although he doesn't seem to be making much headway. He wears a long sleeved red open shirt over a loosefitting black shirt with white trim, and wears black shorts.

Ino turns to her students and waves them to stop. "Slow down you guys, there are metal nins ahead. Alright, first impressions are important here. I have visited this village before, and I know that teacher. However, it was a while ago, and she must have gotten new students. However, this is still lucky, as we can get them to escort us to the village. Be on good behavior...."

She then walks up to the female Jounin, who stops her students and turns to Ino. "Well, now, long time no see, Ino." Ino nods, "Yeah, good to see you, Izumi. We're here on a mission from Konoha; delivering a letter to the leader of the village." Izumi nods. "Right, say no more."

With that, Izumi turns to her students and shouts, "Edo! Aru! Uinri! That's all the training for the day! We're going to escort Ino and her genin to the village!"

The short one says, "Alright, sensei!" and turns to the Shirate, Kirika and Zeshin. "Oi, you guys! Nice to meet ya! I'm Hagane Edo, and these are my teammates!" His voice is a bit deeper than you would expect from someone like him, as he looks about 12.

The tall one nods and says, in a higher voice than you'd expect for someone like him. "Hagane Aru. Yoroshiku..."

The Kunoichi grins and says, in a manner typical to someone her apparent age, "I'm Iwakane Uinri. It's good to meet you."

Zeshin bows formally, and grins at the three. "I am Iseya Zeshin, it's nice to meet you all." He nods to each of the three in turn, bowing again to their teacher.

"These are my teammates," He grins and gestures at Shirate, Kirika and Inuki.

As soon as Shirate makes his comment, Aru and Uinri edge away from Edo, who promptly snaps.

Leaping at Shirate with the ferocity of an angered lion, Edo shouts at the top of his lungs while grabbing Shirate's collar and swinging him around,

"WHO DID YOU SAY WAS SMALL LIKE AN ANT AND DOESN'T SHOW UP IN YOUR EYES!??!?!?!?!"

Aru and Uinri grab Edo and try to get him to calm down, while commenting, "He didn't say that much..."

Zeshin steps aside as well. He's quite short himself, and isn't sure why the boy (Who wasn't in fact as small as a grain of sand, or even a pea swallowed by a peapod) over reacted so much.

"What matters is your skill, your dedication and your bond with your team, not your height. Use your height against your foes. Let them underestimate you. As it is now, you are using it as a weapon turned against yourself."

Zeshin kept his voice matter of fact, but was ready to displace himself with a nearby boulder if the volatile youth attacked.

Edo totally ignores Zeshin's comments, as Shirate has obviously pushed it too far. "You... I'm not short... I'll show you!" He then raises his hands as if he's about to make ninja seals, bringing them together... however, it doesn't appear to be anything more than a clap. Before the hands touch, though, Edo's sensei rushes up and punches Edo in the stomach sending him back.

Izumi glares. "Edo; he meant you no harm, and no insult. You need to stop overreacting, and for the love of god, do NOT resort to that jutsu for petty fights. Understood?" She then turns to team 5, a stern look on her face. "Alright, I'll take you guys into the village. You want to see our leader, correct?"

Ino gives a sigh of relief. "Thanks, Izumi. I didn't want anyone on our team or your team getting hurt..."

Zeshin eyes Edo with interest, replaying the maneuver in his mind. So that was the jutsu, hmmm? Interesting. If Shirate was himself for a bit longer, he'd be able to see it in action. With careful notes, he might be able to pull it off himself.

Maybe.

The boy also looked at their leader, though he didn't stare. Watching her with peripheral vision, he pondered her speed. Interesting. She didn't hesitate to strike her students either. Hmmm. It was also interesting to note that Edo's companions had done nothing, and that the boy was easily riled, and unaffected by reason. Making mental notes, Zeshin followed the others, musing on what he'd learnt.

Kirika blinks in surprise, she had never had teacher who punched their own student, what was he about to do that caused that sort of reaction. A little worried, Kirika decides just to follow her sensei and see what develops.

The students begin walking through the brick and stone roads of the village of metal, Ino's team in between Izumi in the front and her genin in the back.

Izumi notices that Zeshin and Kirika seem to be looking at her strangely. She turns her head around and gives a motherly grin. "Come now, I understand Ino is nice to you guys, but this is my style. My students understand the rules, and the consequences of breaking them. Especially Edo and Aru; their father left the village while they were both still young, and their mother passed away 4 years ago. I have been their foster mother ever since."

Edo's eyes take on a mischeivous look as she says this. "Heh, if you can call her a mother. She whipped everything she knew about ninjutsu into us from day one." Aru looks down at him and says, "Nii-san, don't anger sensei like that. You're 14, stop acting like a kid." Edo looks up, eyes narrowed. "Aru... you're way too mature for your age. We gotta act like kids while we still can. You're only 12 after all..."

Uinri stands between the two, growling a bit. She then looks up and walks up behind Kirika and Inuki. "So, you use a nin-dog, I'm guessing? I have a dog at home, too, although he's not much of a fighter. Your name was Kirika, right?"

Edo, noticing Uinri's attempts at socialization, sighs and walks up behind Shirate. "Hey, joker-boy, sorry for before. I tend to have a short fuse. Still, DON'T call me short ever again... So, I don't think you told us your name. Isn't it proper etiquitte to introduce yourself when someone has given you their name?"

Uinri nods and smiles as Inuki gives off a weak whimper. "So, how long have you three been ninjas? You guys look awfully young for seeming to have such great affinity for one another..."

Aru grins, altough its a sort-of stone-faced grin. "The Village of Metal was only started 10 years ago, so our history isn't that great. However, Konoha helped us get on our feet. As a ninja village, however, we are known less for our combat abilities and more for our metalsmithing; there is no country in the world that produces better steel weaponry than our village; in fact, Uinri is the daughter of our Village's best metalsmith. Our village is led by Kaen Roi, a former Jounin of Konoha known for his mastery of Fire Ninjutsu. As for what Sensei teaches us... I don't know if I can really just tell you, but she does teach us alot of Close combat and Ninjutsu; she's much stronger than she initially looks, and is second only to Roi-sama in Ninjutsu skills in this village."

Edo snickers and says, "Shirate, huh? Interesting name... so, then, tell me, is it true the Chuunin Exam is gonna be in a month in Konoha? You guys gonna be there? I know that our team's a shoe-in to go this year; we're the best team in the village!"

Shirate snaps his head around at Edo. "It IS? I had no idea it was almost time for the test."

He looks at Edo for a moment, then shakes his head. "I can't imagine that we'd be in it. We're still new, utterly. We work well together, but we're still beginners."

Kirika rubs Inuki on the head "I'm not mad....". She turns and looks at Uinri, "weeks, but it seemed like we were meant to be a team together. plus Sensei has been training us well." She stands unblinkly trying not to show any hint of weakness.

Edo laughs a bit at Shirate. "Are you sure? You three might actually do well if you work well together. I heard much of the exam consists of teamwork related exercises. And then there's the fact that I also heard that Konoha rookies have done quite well in several Chuunin exams."

Uinri smiles at Kirika, and laughs. "I can see that. You definitely look to be a tough group of ninjas."

Aru blinks as Zeshin asks his question. "What Edo was about to do? That's... well..."

Edo then chuckles. "We can't just tell you guys. If you want to know what that was, then you'd have to challenge me to a fight, 'cause that's the only way I'd show you!"

Edo laughs with a huge grin as well and says, "I'll take that challenge, then!" Looking at Izumi, who is now looking at the genins with a stern face, he says, "Ne, sensei, it wouldn't hurt to have a mock fight right here, right now, would it?"

Izumi sighs and says, "I suppose it's futile to try and stop you. HOWEVER! Do not use the Jutsu I taught you to actually harm him. Also..." He turns to Aru and Uinri. "You two will join him. We may as well turn this into training."

Ino chuckles and says to Shirate and Kirika, "So, you guys up for a bit of training as well?" Looking at them, her eyes say it's the perfect chance to both fufill their mission and implement some of the teamwork and special skills they learned.

He looks over at his teammates and whispers softly. "We should concentrate on one at a time, rather than split our energy. Support a teammate if they're in trouble and work together. We can do this, and it'll be fun. Remember to watch what they do carefully, our mission is to learn what this new technique is."

Edo grins. "Well, then, looks like we've got ourselves a little battle, eh? Just be careful you guys don't get hurt."

Aru sighs and says, "Nii-san, please don't hurt them, they're allies."

Uinri grins hugely and draws one of her strange wrenches, twirling it around on her finger. "Aru, for such a big tough guy, you're quite the softy. Make the most of this, I say! It's our first challenge in quite some time!"

The three get into a ready stance, Edo holding his hands ready to clap, Aru with his massive body in a martial arts stance, and Uinri holding her wrench in front of her face.

Izumi and Ino both grin as they see their students getting ready, and Ino gives the signal. "LET'S GET STARTED! READY... STEADY... GO!!!!"

"Shirate, take point! Kirika, Inuki take the left and right flanks. I'll take center. With us in formation, supporting each other we'll work much more efficiently, gaining power in all we do."

Zeshin's hands form seals as he speaks. O-ushi, Usagi, Nexumi, Tori, his hands move quicker than they should and he is able to make all four seals in the time it takes him to speak. A cushion of air surrounds his body, and his grin widens.

As he grins, six more copies of Zeshin spring into being, moving around each other as he awaits his opponents response.

OOC - Does anybody else find it ironic that a girl who can use Ino's ability to take over another's body is being taken over by another player? ^_^ And Himi, I'm going to destroy you for the FMA Village xD


Kirika nods, "Inuki!! Stay with me behind this, we'll counter at our best chance with the others!" Inuki gives a little howl and Kirika grins, showing a little fang. "Nipon! Doton Doshougai No Jutsu!" She then forms two seals and slaps her hands on the ground, erecting a large wall of earth to help protect her and her dog. With her allies, she waits for the three to attack.

OOC: Destroy me for the FMA Village? Oh, my friend, you ain't seen NOTHIN' yet.

Zeshin takes the command, and the three ninjas plus dog begin their movements and use their defensive Ninjutsu; Wind for Zeshin, Water for Shirate, and Earth for Kirika.


As they do this, Edo laughs a bit. "Going on the defensive early, are we? Not bad, not bad, especially since you have no clue what you're up against. In fact, I think I'll do the same."

With that, he claps his hands together and places them on the ground. Suddenly, the brick road becomes a brick wall between the two groups of ninjas. Edo's voice comes from behind the wall. "Impressed? This is the special ninjutsu of our village. OF course, calling it Ninjutsu is a bit of a misnomer; it's very different. We call it Renkinjutsu, and it's used for changing the structure of objects using Chakra. Mass and composition need to remain the same, but such restrictions mean nothing. Oh, and I wouldn't try to do it like I did; I'm one of the only Metal Nins who can perform the jutsu like that. Other ninjas who use it need to draw a path for the chakra first, like my brother here..."

Aru's voice continue's Edo's statement. "The foci needed for most ninjas is called a Rensei Circle, and it takes time to draw, making it even more inconvient than needing to use seals for the jutsu. Therefore, although I can use Renkinjutsu, I rarely do so, instead relying on my strength... and my family Bloodline Limit." Then, a shout is heard on the other side of the wall, and a rush of Chakra. "TETSUTEASHI!" Aru's voice now sounds somewhat metallic and hollow. Ino, who ended up standing atop the brick wall with Izumi, looks shocked as she gazes at the other side of the wall.

Uinri finishes the conversation. "Edo and Aru's bloodline limit, while strong, has disadvantages, and therefore, my skills are needed in most situations. My family specializes in forging powerful weaponry and armor using Chakra." A slight rush of Chakra is heard, and then there is silence beyond the wall.

Edo picks up where Uinri left off, shouting, "So, you've seen, or rather, heard our abilities. What will you do now?"

OOC - Im pretty sure this is within her limits of powers Himi, if not let me know. Im kinda waiting for a reply before we do our attacks, you'll see why below.

Kirika thinks quickly and looks at her teammates, "Were both playing defensivly, the problem is that they know what we are doing, and we have no idea what they have. It's going to be a standoff untill somebody makes a move... Zenshin, Shirate, stand your ground before attacking. I have an idea." She then begins to make odd sounds, almost whining like, it probably will not be recgonized by the Metal Nin but Shirate and Zenshin may have some idea what's going on.

Before anything else can happen, Inuki begins to yelp as if he's deathly afriad of something and takes off away from Kirika and away from the battle, seeming to run away. Just to keep things flowing, Kirika screams, "Inuki!!! Don't leave me!!!" She gives a grin and a wink at her allies. "I'm no good at making stratigy like Zenshin-san... however..." From a ways behind the Metal nin, behind the wall, comes a long and drawn out howl. "I'm great for gathering information." It seems she sent Inuki a command for him to make like he's running away, then flank the nin behind the wall to see what has happened to them. Then he howls the information back to Kirika, who can relay it to Zenshin and then they can make a plan against thier powers.

Inuki goes around the wall, and then barks back, which Kirika relates to the group: "The big guy's become very shiny and tough looking, and the girl made his arms look incredibly strong!"

Zeshin takes the opportunity presented by his opponent's pause to plan out what their most likely moves will be. His eyes range over the wall, and his quick mind processes the information given to him. Hoping his comrades will cover him, Zeshin does his best to anticipate his opponents, and in doing so, hinder them.

+Shikamaru’s Training Style, Level 2 – Plan.+

Kirika grins, "Allright Shirate, let's give Zenshin a show to plan by!" She runs outwards in a flanking motion, hoping Shirate does the same on the opposite side of the wall. She pulls out 4 kunai and lets them fly as she comes around the far side of the wall, aiming one at each of the opponents and letting the 4th fly wide and into the forest. She then forms her seals and shouts, "BUNSHIN!" Three Kirika's appear from the smoke, each taking a defenisive stance behind the three. Inuki has done this plan before, and from the cover of the forest, he flings the kunai Kirika tossed to him back. With the middle Bunshin blocking it's path, she makes the Bunshin make a slight different movment as if she was trying to conceal attacking as the Kunai wizzes by. She hopes to destract the group and make them think the middle Bunshin is her.

Shirate nods. But he realizes that using the exact same technique wouldnt work well, so he goes more directly. Emiting chakra from his feet, he softpads as he runs to the other side of the wall, at a slower pace than Kirika. He attempts to mask the sound of his arrival so that they arent prepared for his strike. He then leaps in the air over the wall at his side, and comes down on the closest enemy with a drop kick.

Zeshin takes his time to devise a plan.

While Zeshin plans, Kirika and Shirate make a break for the other side of the wall. As Kirika turns around the wall, she sees the three opponents, Uinri having moved to the other side of Edo, making Aru the furthest away and Uinri the closest. Kirika snaps out a few Kunai, and tosses, following up with a Bunshin no jutsu.

Uinri and Edo take the Kunai and turn their attention to Kirika, while Aru stands there, unphased. Then again, since his appearance is now that of a seemingly living suit of armor, it makes sense that he didn't even feel the Kunai. As their attention is turned, another kunai comes zipping thrown by Inuki, and Shirate comes flying down, dropkick aimed at one of the three.

Uinri takes the hit from the kunai, and chuckles a little. "That hurt a little... but your first Kunai had more... bite to it. Does your dog throw Kunai as often as you?" With that, she whips out a wrench and leaps towards Kirika, striking once at each of the Bunshin to the side of the middle.

Kirika takes a light hit to the arm, and her Bunshins dissipate.

Aru seems to almost grin, if he could with that metallic face. "Not bad... I actually felt that blow even like this... however, I think I should show you my strength..."

With that, he pulls back a fist and throws it towards Shirate, who is currently standing against the wall.

Shirate dives out of the way quickly, letting ARu's fist crash into the brick wall.. and create a rather large crack in it that even becomes visible from the other side to Zeshin. Aru turns his head and gives another metallic "smile." "So you have some speed as well... this should be fun..."

Edo grins widely and says, "So, the little guy stayed on the other side of the wall, eh? I think I'll pay him a visit..." With that, he jumps on top of the wall, and notices Zeshin planning. "Now, what is he doing...? Oh well, guess I'll see soon enough. In the mean time, I'll prepare myself as well..." His right arm seems to flash a little, and in the small cap between his glove and red coat, his arm now appears to be metallic, much like Aru's body.

Zeshin's hand flashes forward, sending a blast of sharpened wind blasting at Edo. However, that was merely a distraction. As he postured, his shadow stretched out, moving towards his opponent in an attempt to imobilize him.

Kirika grins, "You think my bite was a little less on that do ya?!" She sticks two fingers around her tounge and blows hard, signaling Inuki to come in fighting. Hoping that Uinri is destracted a moment by the large Huski running at her, she gets in close and jams a fist into her stomach. Hopefully this will stun Uinri as Kirika backs off a moment and leaps to the top of the wall. Inuki comes barreling in after her, trying to leap and pin Uinri to the ground with a pounce.

Kirika takes a quick look about on top of the wall, to see how everyone else is doing and spots Zeshin's shadow streaching how. Grinning, she formulates an idea.

(OOC - This next part depends on if Zeshin's Kage Mane is successful or not.)

If Zeshin's Kage Mane hits and he is able to lock down Edo, she leaps into the air, flips over and lands next to Zeshin. "Hey! Watch my body alright!" She aims her hands at the frozen Edo in an upside down diamond shape and fires away while Inuki keeps Uinri busy by clamping down on her ankle, trying not to bite too deeply, and tossing her backwards with a snap of his body. "Shintenshin!!!" She fires her mind at Edo, fully determined to take over his body and use it against Aru or Uinry.

At least that's how it works in her mind's eye. For the moment she still perches on top of the wall, watching for a moment to see if the shadow connects. She's ready if it doesn't, as Inuki prepares to clamp down on Uinri and launch her into the air like normal. However if Zeshin should miss, she leaps off the wall intending to nail the girl with a kick while she flies helpless in the air.

Shirate notes the river nearby, and formulates a plan. "Ok, so youre a tin can now. I can deal with that. Come on!" And he leaps backwards, nominally landing in a defensive stance near the river, as if wishing to test Aru's attack strength. But as he flips through the air, his hands flash into his special seal, and activates the Suitamashi, though he doesnt actively move the water yet. "Well, come on, then."
