Welp, Roberts is considering stepping in, but he figures he'll have more than enough time to deal with Johnson on board.
More than enough.

Looking forward to it. I already can't stand Johnson, and I'm the one playing him.

Pyrok is not big on this whole 'social interaction' thing.

Logic would dictate that creating social bounds with your future crew will lead to greater camaraderie and efficiency in ship's functions.

Has anyone ever pointed that out to Pyrok? He's no Spock, he's just an inexperienced ensign who never really bothered to ask himself that question.

I can't imagine any Vulcan who signs up for Starfleet hasn't been told that by one or another mentor at some point.
Also, Sorry FB, but I had to steal it.

Allura is essentially fearless and never gives up. These are her defining characteristics. However, Xelos has many social taboos (such as the mask - a Xelosian showing their face is a sign of intense intimacy, reserved only for those closest to them) that restrict her behaviour.

Hopefully I didn't overstep my limits by giving Mark a non-functioning flintlock pistol that's been in the family for hundreds of generations... Let's see if Starfleet sees his point of view, eh?

Apparently, Shar is also very gregarious. I didn't know that until I started posting. Let me know if his stats need to be adjusted. I think they're okay.

I don't think gregariousness is necessarily tied to any of the SPIRIT attributes, though obviously people of high Talent would be less annoyingly gregarious (mostly because people just like them more).

I think a rank guide is called for. This isn't 100% accurate, but it's close enough to give everyone a good feel:
Enlisted ranks (in ascending order) are Crewman, Petty Officer, and Chief Petty Officer.
Commissioned ranks are Ensign, Lieutenant, Lieutenant Commander, Commander, Captain, Admiral.
Ensigns outrank Chief Petty Officers, even though the CPOs will almost always be older. We should not be calling them "sir".

I think there's actually a Lieutenant-Junior Grade in there between Ensign and Lieutenant.

There is. There is similarly a Crewman Second Class and Crewman Third Class above Crewman and below Petty Officer.
There are other Enlisted grades that are parallel to Crewman such as Transporterman and Hospitalman, but the catch-all will suffice.

According to one novelization, there's also an "Ensign, junior grade". I thought the existence of "junior grade" self-explanatory enough to be not worth mention.

No such think in my universe. Below Ensign is Midshipman, which is the rank Academy juniors and seniors hold.
