Why is it that the 10 second delay on posting again applies also to edits? I quite regularly post, realise that I made some slight typo, immediately change it and get "you cannot post so soon after your last post."

What's up with that?

As a programmer, I would speculate that the same code saves new and edited posts, though I think you're right that the restriction should only be 10 seconds between NEW posts.
