looks like Thom Solo was right yesterday, the dots were counters.
cupidine? according to wikipedia, that is the singular version of cupido which apparently means 'i desire'. so is cupidine there for.... spec?
p.s. happy new year to everyone, especially Pete (if you're reading this).

That's a chatroom all right!
Hello! *departed*
I had to go back and check. Riff is working on that computer-like thing in every strip from when they arrive until they put on the helmets. I didn't think of it with all the things going on.

I didn't notice either. When I saw the device in today's strip near Riff in the real world, I assumed it had just been built to spec by the automated systems. Since he had it all along, I now think it appears to be running away.

Has Frog’s anima always had a fruity hat? If so I’ve never noticed it before.

Geee. A creepily smiling mask with a third eye, that's broken and eyes been plucked out.
Great. They've found a teenager.

Nope: First appearance of Frog's animaWhen they hit the third time jump Frog still doesn't have an enhanced anima. It's not until they've settled in - and you can see pretty clearly from the scars he's had it enhanced.

More importantly, how are they controlling their animas? Are they experiencing full embodiment where they can take full control of all their appendages and limbs? Can Torg actually see through both heads? I want to hear about how Gwynn likes being a cat! Or how Frog likes being a frog...

Occasionally I spot things. :) Three-eyed Cupidine worries me as it does Riff, namely due to past experience of creatures with odd-numbered eyes. I wonder if the rose "tattoo" on Cupidine's face will be significant, or if it's just artistic embellishment.

The counter went up to 6 in frame 4. Was that the computer-thingie acting as a being (when it didn't before), or was Cupidine already in the room?

That is scary. And unlike the anima of our team, it shows no emotion.

But really, any evil AI reference is probably appropriate from what we know.

GLaDOS: Obsessed with testing, mostly content to remain contained to a single area, does not have a face SHODAN: Megalomaniacal, will kill everyone if able to escape, represented by a creepy cybernetic face AM: Killed almost all humanity already. Gives speeches on how much it HATES humans, likes to inflict fates worse than death on those that remain (The title, I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, being one of those fates)
