Having this chapter called "Anima", is going to bug Friday every time It sees it. Not in a bad way, just that Anima refers to something else in a series it has watched for many years. It automatically thinks of that every time it sees that word, annoyingly.

I guess we assume the DFA selects destinations carefully. I think every place it's sent Our Heroes, the air has been breathable. So they're hoping the native fauna is edible too? I don't remember the topic of food coming up in previous adventures, but they've been in other non-Earth places long enough that they obviously ate the local fare.

Interesting looking at everyone's anima. I like Riff's robot. :-D Shankraft has an atom-looking thingie, fitting enough -- but it kinda has two "heads," like Torg's dragon?

I see a little tiny blue something by Zoe's foot. Maybe it just wasn't visible in the last comic.
And Gwynn as something small and blue in a bag beside her.

aaaaaand GO!

Hmm. Good catch on the just-barely-visible blue spot near Zoë. And in fact if you look carefully at the second panel of the previous strip, there is a small blue spot between/behind Torg and Zoë which is clearly not part of Torg's dragon.

On the other hand, I think the blue spot near Gwynn is just her kitty's tail.

Oh, good eye yourself!

So much for all the spec floating around. Hah! We now return you to your reguarly scheduled niftyverse.

Although we could certainly ask: Can the gang see their animas? I can't believe that the novelty would fade in only 3 days!

Looks like Zoё's Anima is "always offscreen blue dot". Frog also have one. I don't see Kiki anywhere, I wonder where's she at? Chaz seems like don't have one?

BTW, there's blue dot in bottom right corner. I wonder whose it is.

The bottom right "glowification" is next to something that looks suspiciously like Kiki.
(Just in case you were not rhetorically "wondering".)

Food may be scarce but wood is apparently abundant. That's quite a bonfire they have there.

Good catch indeed! I had thought it was part of Torg's dragon.
The different anima are so interesting, especially Riff's, which is decidedly different than the rest of them. The rest are naturalistic or abstract shapes. His is a robot, or seems to look like one.

Just curious for all the long time fans here:

Has it EVER ended as expected when someone says "We'll split up"?

Come to think of it, in the entire history of written, spoken, and performed entertainment since the court of Babylon, has saying that ever gone as expected? :-)

..a three hour tour!

"You know, I lived with a guy for years. A real genius. He could take a couple of these pineapples or a couple of coconuts and make a nuclear reactor. But he couldn't fix a two-foot hole in a boat."

That one's next to frog, so I don't think it is.

I have no idea where pete is gonna take this. But I hope it'll be a horror comedy side story like Kitten.

That would be neat.

Yes, that is probably Frog's anima-thingy.
