[OOG - Dodger77 - 1 point and no demerits this round! At this rate, you'll get back on the positive side of the ledger in no time! You barely missed a correct score in state 2, and therefore missed the point you would of scored if we had made it to state 3.

Drache - also barely missed a correct score in state 2.]

Thank you for the score update. It is coming together.

I think…

Hoorah, I have scored AND avoided demerits. My kitoba gamesmanship is sure to come in handy henceforth. He said, hoping to score and avoid demerits a second time.

[OOG Drache - just barely missed maxing your points and potentially closing the round. Your theory is essentially correct, but I need you to be sexier if you want to win state 3. 1 point, no demerits.

Dodger - mission accomplished, 1 more point and no demerits. Your theory is also essentially correct, but don't single me out so personally if you want to win state 2. We are back in state 1]

OK, it seems strange to me that both drachefly and I are scoring points while seemingly using different strategies. Perhaps my understanding is not as good as I thought it was. There is one important factor where we do agree, however, so I am guessing that content follows form in this case.

Dodger, you will be able to score in state 1 using the strategy displayed (he says, not actually sure). But I still do not know how to get demerited.

[OOG - Dodger +1 no demerits
@Drache - Ironically, you just provided a demonstration of how to get demerited. In this case, consider it a slap on the wrist for being impatient! 1 point, 1 demerit. Parenthetically, you were only a tiny bit of punctuation away from maxing out your points this turn...

Game is now in State 3]

I wonder where CCC has got to. He will likely ride in and unexpectedly earn the maximum three points having figured everything out. I still have yet to earn more than 1 point per post which makes me wonder where I am going wrong.

Kitoba, you really handed over a silver platter there. CCC won't be needed - he will be too late. I have the solution.

Dodger, 2 more points and a null.
Drache maxes his points and ends the round!

Round 1 scores

Drache 4
CCC 3
Dodger 2
Steave 0

Still plenty of room for a comeback. Round 2 is much like Round 1 except points are doubled and demerits are singled. The game has reset back to State 1 (even though the last round ended in State 2). Remember, moves that were wrong or even punished in past rounds may be right in future ones. You now have all the info you need for Round 2. Good luck!]

This makes me nervous. I had some things figured out in Round 1 but not everything. I do like the sound of doubled points and singled demerits though (But then, who wouldn't like that?). I am curious to see what's changed in Round 2. Well here goes nothing.

We should do a lot better in this round, spurred on by what was learned last round. Though it's hard to tell what you lot have learned - my lack of posting was, honestly, mainly indicative of complete bewilderment. Drache, your three-point post was impressive - can I ask how they were scored?

He made this game with things that come in threes like I made them with things that come in 26-es… you see? Spacing (or rather, sentencing) was important last round.

CCC comes back strong with 2 doubled points, including an impeccable state 2, and only misses a max with a technical foul in state 3. It looks like he was alert to the hidden clues. No other points yet this round. Drache had a good theory, but it was wrong. Game is in state 3.]

There's a lot of things that come in threes, like the Three Musketeers, or the Three Stooges. Though what they have to do with anything that's been posted so far this game is anyone's guess. Nonetheless, all we can do is the best we can. Round One, quite honestly, I didn't get until after Round Two started; but as for this round, I believe the correct score is three points with two demerits, leaving the state back where it started (demerits are tricky to avoid this round, at least without being obvious). Have any of you figured this round out yet?
