I started reading Sluggy Freelance about 2 years ago. This comic is really awesome and I would like to join the daily discussions. That's basically the reason why I registered.

In the earlier comics my favorite character was Riff. The perfect combination of a mad scientist and a bad-ass action hero. But later I switched to Torg, because of his incredible leadership skills combined with his goofy behaviour and his tendency to befriend everyone.

I totally dislike bun-bun.

And as my nick indicates, I like statistics.

Okay, hope this qualifies me as non-bot.

Kind regards,

Welcome to the forum StatisticMan!

Sorry I didn't welcome you sooner, but things kept getting in the way 61% of the time. 29% of the time I didn't feel like doing anything. Then 17% of the time I don't remember what I was doing or thinking about...

Um... Oh, so you don't like Bun-Bun? I'll let him know that you said that. Your chances are probably something like 85/15. What that refers to, I'm letting you figure that out.

Anyway [member's name here], now I will tell you about the strange tradition aimed at newcomers.

At one time there were Pesterers who pestered you for poetry, but that tends to be very rare nowadays. Even though you may not be pestered, if you do go and post an original poem --usually haiku but any (clean) type is accepted-- written by you, you will most likely receive a gift in return. The "gift" will most likely be useless or maim you. Whichever it may be, it should be interesting and surprising. Lastly, this strange tradition applies to the pestering not the poetry. You are not required to do anything more to be a member here...unless you want to possibly get a [name of harmlessly fatal item here] or some other type of gift.

Now go forth and do (almost) whatever you want, just don't speculate in Reactions.
