I love how happy Torg looks in the "21 Years" News! It's been awhile since we've seen him that happy!

I hope the bad things resolve themselves, Pete! One up-side of not closing the store was that I got to order my book yesterday, so that's something positive :)

Feel better soon, Pete! I'm looking forward to book 19, but you are right, all will be well if it doesn't come by Christmas.

Is that supposed to be "the week beginning November 25th" in the latest news headline? Or is Pete giving us a month-long "heads up" warning? :)

Not news, per se, but the falling snowflake header is pretty neat. Just wanted to say!
Gives me a weird sensation that I'm scrolling up instead of down (I second guessed myself), but overall pretty nifty effect.

The snow is also ominous to me, as it reminds me of the beginning of 'broken'. I hope that it is not a portent, rather just a reflection of the season...

"Sinking suspicion"? Sinking?! Sorry, that's my only reaction.

Happy almost birthday!
Don't avoid the lembas, over the ages, it's been one of the greatest gifts given from the elves to humans. After all, when Melian gave Beleg lembas to share with Turin, "in nothing did she show greater favor to Turin than in this gift; for the Eldar had never before allowed Men to use this waybread, and seldom did so again" (Tolkien, The Children of Hurin, p 120). Enjoy the extended editions!
And thank you for all the years of wonderful story!

It's alright, I'm pretty sure Lembas bread is actually just Nature Valley granola bars. That's why the Fellowship needed Aragorn - he was the only human Galadriel trusted to not turn them into a mass of crumbs when eating them.
Have a great not-quite-50th birthday Pete!

I agree on the literary achievement of 4U City in the online format, and I'm so looking forward to reading it in print!
