Its cool how because the Sashas are so much more powerful than Torg/Gwynn that there is no fear or hostilities between the two parties.

:sasha: "I still follow orders, but I get to choose what those orders are." :sasha:
That line confuses me. If you get to choose what orders to follow then you're not really following orders, you're following a suggestion/recommendation. Orders are followed because you have to whether you want to or not. I think this is just a fancy way of saying "free will".

Man, this strip really showcases how - when you get down to it - inhuman and sad Kusasha’s thought process is. She has difficulty not thinking of anything in terms of orders, and interprets free will as the ability to give herself orders (which isn’t exactly wrong, but...) Which explains why even when rebelling, she’s so single minded. It’s really kind of tragic.

How robotic her speech is in this strip sells it. This is Torg’s first time really having a personal conversation with the real Sasha - no false identities or Hereti Corp mandates - and it’s almost like talking to a computer.

Revealing that Oasis is down and vulnerable when Kusashi is there to hear it. So, back to enemies again?

Hmmm. Torg seems (justifiably) afraid of the Sashas, but not betrayed or angry anymore. Maybe he has accepted her as something like Oasis, and therefore, not to be blamed or deserving of hatred. They did mourn her, I suppose, and he added that comment "friends, even."

You put my nebulous feelings into words!
This also helps put her "unless you must" comment into context. "Do not pull out your sword unless I figure out that I need to kill you."
Her line "I'm not sure how being an enemy or non-enemy correlates to me killing you or not" kind of summarizes their history. Enemy/non-enemy hasn't mattered in her existence, just orders.

Yeah. Such a huge contrast to "our" Sasha, the gang's friend. She was SO human, so relatable and lovable. Hard to accept, really, considering how robotic the Sashas are now. And even how cold Kusari is/was.

Well, there's something going on between her and Riff, so not so robotic.

Well, "order to soldier" and "order to AI" is two different things. Second is more like mind-control. And mind-controlling yourself is not the same as doing things yourself.

That's a very apt way to differentiate between her current and former selves.
