SURPRISE! Bet you didn't think there was going to be a Friday comic did you? Pete was so close to the 12th one, he just HAD to get it in before the end of the month you know... ---- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Remember to vote every day.

I feel sort of spoiled. With Leah, we got so many comics this month.

Wow.
When I started reading this story all those years ago. When I first read about Dr Steve and Oasis. When people reading the story kept screaming for more Oasis(cough) I never thought I would get to this moment where it could go anywhere from here. I thought Oasis meant nothing as Pete(ahaah Savior of the Universe) That Pete after really trying to say that Oasis was a robot and Torg pushing her cindered robotic corpse in a shopping cart would end up becoming this character that I cannot resist wanting to be this phoenix. That she would arise from her own ashes and be the hero. Will she be this? I don't know.
I am mesmerized and looking forward to what happens next.

Hmm. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Oasis' rebirthing facility still active? Other than the satellite uplink at the moment, obviously
I wasn't expecting the 12th either. YAY! I hope Leah gives us a week or two every year around Pete's birthday.

I love panel 7 in this comic. It's subtle, but you have Torg attempting to act as Sasha's conscience and the traditional "good angel/bad angel" representation is there with Kiki ("good") and Chaz (nominally "evil" but really neutral) poking over his shoulders. Chaz, of course, is silent here but Kiki's expression screams, "Stay good, Sasha! Stay good!"

I was so excited for this surprise strip! This strip is an example of why I love Torg as a hero.
