Nate has the name of one place; but it's a place that Martel has been to on multiple occasions, always incognito, and has been seen in the company of someone who "looks Styric".
Asking either of the Knights will elicit the information that Stoke's Mountain is a small village on the eastern slopes of the mountain in question, just above a large forest. The only thing that you find there in any appreciable quantity is timber, but a minor Count does hold a castle just a little west of the village. Neither of the Knights can think of any possible reason why someone like Martel might be interested in the place itself, making it ideal for a clandestine meeting location.

Ok, I'll bite. Have Arkady's prayers provoked any kind of response since he's woken up? Aside from the exorcism?
In passing, he's including a request for guidance on the matter of teaching the locals exorcism in his prayers these days. After all, it's possible for him to get permission from his god; though he'd be just this side of shocked if he actually got it.

There have been a few unexplained things here and there - the way that, no matter how careful you are, your calenders never quite sync up with anyone else's after a journey; the strong exactly-windmill-height winds that helped your colony build up its energy budget very quickly at first (though checking up will show that those have tapered off by now; David had a couple of wood-burning power stations put in to make up the energy deficit); and so on. But Arkady has seen nothing which he can unequivocally call a clear response; or anything which he has any particular reason to consider an unclear response, for that matter.

I'm of the opinion that it's Piper doing this, but I could always be wrong.

Did Felix talk to them? I don't remember.

Not personally, but they previously attempted to talk to Roger. Terrans are visibly racially distinct from the near-albino Styrics and the dark-as-ebony Elenes, though, so these salesmen are assuming that you're part of the Terran colony that they've seen before.

Someone landed the ship without destroying the neighborhood. Having processed that completely reset Arkady's tolerance for 'strange' and 'miracle'. That said, he'd be a lot happier if he knew just who or what was doing it. He sees Piper as a power, but he's unsure if she's fronting for someone else as well.

I really shouldn't need to mention how Arkady's Skeptic's Ear stunt will tell him that these two are trying (and failing) to use Deceit on the group, should I?

Shady or not, if they can make the most money doing honest work for us they'll probably go for it, and we'll have a trader that can act as an intermediary between us and the rest of the world. They buy stuff from us and sell it and we have to go through less effort to obtain coin.

Quote: In fact it might be a good idea to set up an outpost on the edge of the forest specifically for trade. You already have a small outpost at the edge of the forest, treating the nearby Elene peasants in exchange for food. Adding a bit more trading to that would be very straightforward.

Something about them set me off as profoundly creepy all of a sudden and I wanted to end that encounter as soon as possible. Apologies.

Baron Harparin sounds familiar, somehow. Have we heard of him in our adventures?

He's the guy that escorted us to Cimmura to see the Primate. Toady fellow, not so great with kids. A lot of people want to kill him if I recall correctly.

Yep, that's him. Thoroughly unpleasant chap all around.
He's way, way worse than just 'not good' with kids; back on Earth he'd be on a sex offender's list. Unfortunately, because he's a lackey of the Primate and the Primate controls the courts, there's not much that can be (legally) done about him. (And that is pretty much why a lot of people want to kill him).
