Doesn't he float off into space forever even if she doesn't miss? Wait! How is the guy with the gun avoiding floating off into space forever?

We're all already floating off into space forever, it's just a matter of perspective.

He's got a thruster pack on the back of his suit, as shown in this comic.

Space Pokemon are indeed the rarest ones. I'm kind of ashamed to admit I laughed at Dire R.E.As XD.

I think you mean Gwynn, but that's not Gwynn that's Oasis.

"Decimate" actually means to reduce with a tenth. From the Latin for ten, just like in "decimeter" and "deciliter". When a Roman unit had been cowardly in battle they were placed in a row by a steep cliff, facing the cliff, and every tenth was pushed down, which meant they were decimated.

Dire-REA - that's not a crappy pun!

Opps, that's what I get for posting on the forums in a hurry on my phone >.<

Thanks, yes, that makes so much more sense now.

Waddaya mean new? Oasis has always gone for witty banter...

(And she wasn't the only one who liked Banter !!)

But I agree, I like Oasis even more now.

"Dire-REA," oy, didn't get that at first..... I've always pronounced it "R. E. A." so the joke just crapped out.

Yeah, any guesses on how long Pete has been sitting on that pun?
Ever since he pushed out the R.E.A name?
Or was the idea more like fast, explosive and unavoidable?

Notice that the "cowardice" simply meant that they had suffered a defeat. With the punishment in place, the Roman legions would fight hard and only give in to defeat if they had suffered devastating losses.
And for that reason, decimation and devastation are synonymous.
Since decimation obviously follow a devastating defeat.

If neither Torg nor the ship exert any thrust after separation, they'll both return to the same point after one orbit.

I wonder how Oasis figured out that Torg was nicely balanced for throwing.

Like others, I really am liking Oasis's new personality. And I have to say that she sounds like she would be a fun date.

Good point! If they are in orbit, the "flow in space forever" doesn't count. Unless he moves at supersonic speed, Torg will stay in orbit, just a slightly different one. And even return to meet the ship (assuming the throw is perpendicular to the direction of travel).

I think Torg have heard the explanations about "if you are travelling in empty space, far from planets on top of a spaceship and jump, you will travel through space forever".
