My yesterday was not so great, and I said some things I think I shouldn't have, and those thoughts keep going through my head. This song "Here Comes a Thought" from the show Steven Universe sums up what I'm trying to tell myself.

I often think of this song ("Israelites") in the morning when I have to go to work, which is entirely ridiculous, since I work a cushy, first-world job that I (mostly) enjoy.

I have a friend here who had this song ready and cued up for the day he got promoted: ("The Man").

And sometimes when I'm in a more properly grateful mood, I'll think of this song ("Our House").

I Love LA in honor of the Dodgers winning game 2 of the NLCS last night.

Being far away from home, Mark Erelli's "For a Song" has been in my head.
