Wasn't Sketch Sundays supposed to be temporary too? Color me skeptical...

Yeah, I have a feeling that a turn to M-W-F will end up sticking permanently.

Which is fine, honestly; it's a format that works well for other comics.

The old News Items Reaction thread was getting unwieldy in size so I gave it a trim. Please remember this thread is for reactions to the news items only, not the comic. -WE

You haven't read the news yet. Instead of MWF it's going to be another filler week.

I dunno, I don't have much problem with a temporary MWF schedule. I'd probably prefer three MWF weeks to a filler week. Whatever works, though.

That's the thing about filler weeks; pete has to think of something else to write, and this may impact on the main story. Maybe a guest week.

I know! A 'Write Yer Own Sluggy' week. We can pick a past comic and recaption it. Maybe not going as far as the pitbull salad thing but it'll be fun.

If Pete is anything like me when it comes to creative things the problem is not coming up with stuff, it's finding the time to actually write (or, in his case draw) what's come to mind.

As long as the stick figure filler type stuff is still amusing let it roll!

Even if it is hard on my Sluggy addiction.

I don't know if this is the right place to post this (I emailed as well), but is anyone else seeing the "Susan boyle sex tape" advertisement? They tagged it as "The Sedated Ape" so it probably slipped past any filters that may be in use. Can someone remove it please?

Probably needs to go in suggestions and comments

I thought it was a joke when I saw it.

I think it's just the placement of this "filler week" that makes it truly filler. If it happened in the current time-line or was an in story flashback aka that sandwich incident I don't think it would count as filler at all. In fact if it was moved to in between the current Oasis arc and another story I don't think anyone would notice.

WAIT WAIT WAIT

We're getting a FULL COLOR SUNDAY COMIC?!?

Hey Pete, why don't you take the year off? And by take off I mean do more of these. This is like being grounded and sent to stay in the ice cream man's truck for a week, then being told you have to tour the Mayfield Dairy 30 times.

Happy Father's Day! I hope all you other fathers out there weren't woken up at 7 AM by kids yelling "Surprise!".

After which the youngest has a tantrum, not realizing that the older ones meant that making "Happy Daddy Day" cards means actually relinquishing said card.

I love my kids, and I love the cards, and I love their thoughtful gesture, but the extended sleep would've been really nice...

Oooh, shiny! :kiki: My only complaint is that the navigation buttons are a little odd, but as long as the comic is here I'm happy :)

I have a complaint. No weekly mode = much more hassle when reading the archives. :/
