This is a suggestion of mine, can we have a creative writing section of the forums? A lot of the sluggites around here are fairly creative, a place to get feed back and counseling on our various writings might be a welcome addition.

It's a nice idea... I would have no problem with starting a creative writing thread or two (probably in WGARS--but you could advertise in GC) and seeing how that goes... then we could see how popular it would be.

Just out of curiosity, what would this entail? Would people post their writings, provide a link to them or just ask for suggestions where they get stuck? A little more detail on the details would be appreciated.

A little more detail on the details would be appreciated. All three of those most likely. If you have a completed work you want reviewed or just to brag about you can post it, if there are any particular details you need to work out and would like some help with you can post a request, if you're feeling adventurous and would like to see if anyone would be willing to be a full on partner in a creative work you can advertise your ideas and see if someone responds. That's the general idea I'm thinking of anyway.

Personally I think it's a great idea. I was never really comfortable just throwing out the haiku summaries that I was working on in just a random WGARS thread. Having someplace like this to post stuff and expect crticism and whatnot would be a welcome addition.

I don't know how feasible it would be but it might be a good idea to make it its own forum if it becomes popular enough. If your like me and have an incredibly short attention span, you have atleast 10 different individual projects at any one time and in order to keep it from getting too confusing they may each need to recieve their own individual thread.

Sorry for the double post.
I setup an advertisement for the Creative Arts thread in GC if thats alright. Would that be the limit for advertising threads? I figure more than one would just get a little spammy so I'll probably stop there but it wouldn't hurt to have a notice in SRC for anyone wanting to do sluggy fanfiction.
