Okay, somebody had to resurrect the The Official Avatar Super Thread, and because I've got a new avatar today (Riff and Kiki are back! Yay!) I've taken the responsibility upon myself.
Real torture I know
I couldn't post to Important Threads where this thread usually goes, but I'm sure a mod will change that soon.
Feel free to show off you Avatar creations and changes for all to enjoy.

Adopted this Humanist one a while ago... for a good year I was one of the few active posters with no avatar. Other avatars I use are a little pirate face (left over from Talk Like a Pirate Day where I was Cap'n Izzy the Badly Burnt -- on that forum I even used my admin powers to change my name to that for the day), and, on a Christian forum, out of a desire to do something which they'll never figure out but which would piss them off to no end if they knew about it, I use a Yoni avatar. If you don't know what a Yoni is, Google it. This particular one appears to be a painting of the real thing with some Hindu symbols in front of it, making the actual thing look more like a wisp of smoke if you don't already know what it is. You'd seriously never know from looking at it what it is, but once you know it's so freaking obvious...

I've had this dotwarner av almost since I first joined the boards. I've tried on a couple others but I've always come back to this one because it's my fav. It's a portrait of the "outlaw king" (who represented my inner image when I had it done).
I think I'm ready for a new inner image now, but I haven't had anyone draw it for me yet.

This is my second Skullx Av. I occasionally play with other ones but always come back. Once you have the perfect av, why change?

(IMO, Serial Experiments Lain is the reason anime was invented)

Umm, Look what I drew!
I know it's a far cry from any artistic skill, but my excuse is that it's a preliminary sketch for shoulder insignia I'm going to be painting on a large number of small plastic soldiers. So I deliberately wanted something simplistic.

Mine's Ed, from Fullmetal Alchemist, THE greatest 26+ episode anime ever created.
And not to bash Lain or anything, but in 13- episode series, FLCL, Haibane Renmei and Kino's Journey beat Lain easily IMO. ^_^

This is my 2nd SkullX original and, um, it rocks! With the padlock of doom so cleverly incorporated, it's also my only moderator-type avatar.

Mine's one of the first things I ever made in Photoshop, so I've just kept it around, resized it, and used it everywhere. I always use this name, so it works out nicely.

Looks Ork-ish. Or maybe Space Marines. Cool.
(BTY-most people on here at least know what Warhammer and 40K are. Then again, who doesn't?)
Yeah, back to the good 'ol Skullx Marauder.
