Is this a second Golden Age of WGARS? Debate and discuss. Digressions encouraged.

It has been a lot more fun lately, I'll certainly grant you that. But a Golden Age? Nah.
I mean, when was the last time a RS thread hit 10 pages huh? I mean, the one we've got on the front page at the moment is from October 2009. How can Word Games and Random Silliness be having a Golden Age when there's barely any Random Silliness? It just doesn't make sense.
Granted there have been a lot of old timers hanging around. But I chalk that up to time of year more than anything. It is, afterall, almost April...

This is really the nineteenth Golden Age of WGARS.
Most people don't realise that there have been eighteen Golden Ages of WGARS already; this is because they happened very quickly after one another. Of the first eighteen Golden Ages, fifteen of them had gaps of no more then forty-two minutes between the successive golden ages (the other two gaps were, respectively, seventy-three minutes and twenty-two hours).

No, unfortunately you can't see my supporting research. I put it in this handy Klein bottle for safekeeping, and now I can't seem to find it.

So what I'm hearing from you is Gold for Word Games, and some base metal for Random Silliness? So basically an alloy of some sort? CCC wrote: No, unfortunately you can't see my supporting research. When the posting's slowing in Gen Chat And POOP feels tired and old hat Then humor is needed on the boards And fun will steer the sluggites to WGARS
This is the dawning of the age of WGARSius The age of WGARSius WGARSius! WGARSius!
Clever games, so entertaining Silliness and fun abounding No more boredom, no more sadness Days of random, silly madness Crazy games and clever pun-fights From the warped mind of the sluggites WGARSius! WGARSius!
When the n00bs have left Introductions And speculation floods Reactions Then nonsense will guide the boards And bull . . . will steer WGARS
This is the dawning of the age of WGARSius The age of WGARSius WGARSius! WGARSius!

The Bronze age is so much cooler than the iron age! And let's not forget that the silver age can be melted down and used to slay werewolves.
SILVER AGE FTW! WOOT

Apparently just opening this thread has dramatically increased the quotient of Random Silliness (the observer paradox?). As a result, I suggest that since we have a new Golden Age of WG and arguably a Silver Age of RS, we combine the two and announce the Electrum Age of WGARS.

Except that electrum was dropped from the 4th edition of WGARS. How about we just usher in a bold new Coal Age of WGARS instead?

Only if we combine it with the iron age.
Coal + Iron (in WGARS) =
