Doing okay, I suppose. But things have been very very quiet as of late.
Good to see you again, Jorodryn.

Hi Jorodryn, welcome back. Although, truthfully, you're about as active as any other poster, these days

This may be my first post in almost a decade. I remember how this board was once, it’s sad to see it so empty now.

Message boards are kind of a thing of the past I don't really know any active forums anymore. It's funny to have been on the internet long enough to have seen entire expressions of it be born and die... But on the other hand it's great to see some old faces in here again from time to time Hey, maybe we can re-invent the message board as a vintage boutique technology! I think the first thing to do is to lobby it to be all re-skinned with a steampunk theme.

Dunno about message boards but I'd definitely be on board a Sluggy Forum revival project. Post more topics and try to attract posts.

It's not just social media. The Sluggy group on FB isn't particularly active either. I suspect mega communities like Reddit have had a hand as well since there's basically a subreddit for every topic ever.

I think it's less about the quantity of topics and more about just not drawing the traffic anymore. But on the other hand, this is the liveliest it's been in ages around here. And we've seen at least a couple old faces back.

And for everyone else, we're having a sort of mini-revival in WGARS right now --or at least games that sometimes even have new posts MORE THAN ONCE A DAY (*gasp*). So drop in. Test your brain against the madness that is -- the kitoba game!

Oddly enough, there is one forum I frequent which is extremely active - it's on a knitting website. In effect, it the general chat there functions as Girl Reddit. There are some guys on there, but generally speaking, there aren't too many men interested in the yarn arts.
It's nice seeing some old faces, er, avatars again. It's been ages. I'm a freaking married homeowner now, how weird is that? Kajin - many years ago you made me feel really old by saying that you watched Teen Titans when you were 8 years old, but when that cartoon was out, I was in college. It felt strange then to be talking to another adult who was a child when I was already an adult. Now I feel even older.
