Seems there are a lot of sluggites out there with one.

So, where is it and what do you use it for?

And I use mine for ranting, writing, and quizzes. I try not to do as many quizzes as I used to.

The title "Incoherant Ramblings" kinda tells you what I do there. I ramble.

I'm on LiveJournal, but I don't think I've updated in a good 6-9 months. I just kinda grew out of it.

I have one, my www. I originally started it to get some contructive criticism on my peotry...but all I get is an occasional "that's nice" so I just use it for ranting, keeping in touch with friends and posting an occasional poem.

I've been keeping a blog for the last seven months or so. It's essentially just asummary of what I've been up to, what's going on in my life, and whatever comes to mind.

I too am part of the LiveJournal collective (see button below). I use mine for posting about anything really - what I ate for breakfast, what I did over the weekend, big things going on in my life, recounting old stories that I feel like sharing, music/movie reviews, opinions and rants, etc.

It serves two main purposes: (1) a way of getting to know other Sluggy.net community members better, and (2) a method of keeping in touch with real-life friends I've made over the years, who are pretty much all far away. The reason I like LJ is that it's very community and friends based - a lot of my friends have LJs too, so we all get to be updated on each others' lives via our Friends pages.

MyLJ's on the WWW button below.

I use mine for a TON of stuff.

Venting, self-analysis, creative writing, quizzes... And as a way of keeping in touch with people.

I also rant a lot in there. And make "to do" lists because it's easier for me to sort out my ideas when I see them in print.

And there's my morning randomness of "I just want to hear myself talk" (type?) every so often...

I'm a dinosaur who still uses diaryland... the link can be found below.

I use mine to talk about my life and how I'm doing, and as such it's much more interesting and relevant to people who know me in real life. I'm not sure how many people still read it, but, then again, I don't post to it terribly often either.

edit: I got my online journal account as an alternative to email newsletters. It still serves the same purpose of keeping people I am in otherwise tenuous contact with abreast of my doings, but at least it doesn't fill up anyone's inbox.

I read the title to this and automatically went into work-mode, thinking dsomeone was having an information retrieval problem with respect to getting access to academic papers...

more fool me...

Journal-wise, I've set up space to write one, but there's very little there right now... Follow the web link below and click on the diary to read the one article posted there!

Entries will add up when I'm not trying to write exam papers...

I've got an LJ (button below), but I feel sorta weird about having one. It's mostly just me rambling, some notices when I leave town, and a D&D game.

Hmm, I wonder if I should be getting a blog/livejournal, all I would do is rant about games, webcomics and similar...

Go for it!

It's a very good way to vent frustrations...

Like a paper diary, only less chance of your Mom finding it and reading it.

Unless you leave a substantial portion of your entries "unlocked"... Then you might have a LOT of explaining to do...

Umm... not that that's ever happened to me... *shiftyeyes*

My substantial weblog entries are on Diaryland, but I recently opened a Livejournal (button below) that links to it, so I can actually keep up with the Sluggites on LJ. I also use LJ for quizzes and Memes, and then add a link to any DLand entries I write. It works.

Unlocked portions? I thought anybody could read them?
