Got a weekend cottage booked for my friend's birthday. Lots of food, beer and countryside. God has, of course, decided that it should therefore rain all weekend - but I'm stocked with chess, backgammon and cards, so we should manage.

Going to the eye doctor and getting my new frames ordered tomorrow, run errands, and Mother's Day stuff on Sunday. This is the first time I'm having flowers delivered to my mom's house, but then she's the kind to just say, "Don't worry about giving me anything." Nope, you're getting something, mom. You deserve something and I will get you the best I can.

Apparently having a massive sinus headache/migraine (I'm fairly certain the sinus headache triggered the migraine... all I know is this morning I was in more pain than I've been in in YEARS). Tomorrow I work both jobs and then go see my mom.

I'm running an obstacle course called 'Superman Scramble'. A 4 mile run with 12 obstacles.

Unless it rains again or fails to dry out, I'm going to be fixing a leak in my roof and start tearing out my flower beds. They have been overrun by grass and weeds, so I have to almost start over from scratch.

The weekend after next we're playing " Sightseers" at the local indie theater. Right now we're running a "Vacation Horror Story" contest, where people send in their worst vacation stories, and we'll pick one to adapt as a short to play before the movie. Submissions are open through this afternoon, but there's a clear frontrunner right now -- this weekend, I will likely be shooting a 5 minute short about a little boy on his first camping trip. He's so scared of the bears he believes to be in the woods, that he doesn't poop all weekend, until the very end... in his pants. But can he hide the fact for the whole 5 hour drive home? Even if by some miracle a better story comes along in the next 9 hours, and we end up shooting that one instead, I still want to make this movie later. I'm a sucker for a good poop story.

I have to get my central air fixed, go shopping for fixtures in my son's bathroom since the remodel starts next weekend, and my bestest friend from high school is coming back to town for Saturday. I'm going to take my son over to her parents' place for a cookout and all that fun stuff.
