I've been following the development of this game for some time and I've always thought it promising. The favorable review in PC Gamer and the demo have gotten me excited, but I'm still not sure.
Has anyone here played this game?
What do you think? Is it as fun as it's supposed to be? Is it the scariest game since System Shock 2? Is it as bad a system hog in the real thing as it is in the demo?

I don't know too much about it, except for a few comic-based reviews out there, but I DO know that it's a really dumb name.

"Let's choose a name! I know, FEAR!"
"But that doesn't mean anything!"
"No! No! It's an acronym! Um, For Every Ardent Recruit!"
"... You're a dumbass. Eh, what the hell, I'm bored, let's run with it. But come up with a new acronym."

Don't know too much about F.E.A.R. Only heard about it for the first time a couple days ago.

If your a fan of machinima though, like Red Vs Blue, or want to see the engine in action, check out P.A.N.I.C.S. (people acting normal in crazy situations) which is a mini-series made from the game.

Only one episode so far though...
