Maybe the whole behavior is regulated by chemicals. Once the nviornment reaches a certain point the anemones start all geting coordinated by collective chemicals they release?

And I would play that game. Just imagine if it became an online game. Pretentious gamer nerds would say, "My anemonies just pwnd your sorry ***!".

And I'd play an game based on this. Command and Conquer: Anemonie Alert. Or C&C: Anemonie Sun. Or AnemonieCraft.

That's crazy. I wonder what factors determine which anenomes grow up to be warriors, scouts, or barracks units.
