If you ask me, they should just leave spirit on top of that hill and watch the dust devils at work.

I saw these right before they where posted here and it's still amazing. It really brings the Mars home to you when you see something so 'Normal' as a dust devil ((which we see daily out here in Arizona)) strut so openly across the surface of an alien world

Just about all those picture and stuff those rovers have brought back have been beautiful. The engineers and scientist who designed and run them have done an excellent job.
Not to long ago there was a statement released that the rover Spirit suddenly got a jump in electrical power. The solar panels on both rovers have been getting more and more dust, and haven't been taking in much sunlight because of it. Some of the folks at JPL are thinking that one of the dirt devils may have roared over the rover, thus cleaning the panels. Hopefully with that, we will continue to learn and see more cool stuff about Mars.

I loved the whole 'three months' ploy. They knew they couldn't get funding up front for ground control for a year long mission with two rovers, so they proposed three months. All the while, they were building the rovers with a year plus lifespans in mind. Then, at the end of three months of roving, it was, "Oh my, it appears the rovers are still going! Heavens, hadn't we better extend the mission?"
They later 'fessed up and said they stole the idea from Scotty's guest appearance on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Scotty may be gone, but the rovers he inspired are still alive and kicking. Fitting, that.
