From Crossroads' name generator, I come out as Elrond Elensar, or, as Axel Fendersson, Huor Elanessë.

Kinkajou's generator gave me these:

My real name:
Hobbit: Sudoc Roots of Hardbottle
Elf: Delonna Son of Fëanor
Dwarf: Sisin of Erebor
Human (aren't I one of these already?): Glicyn, Ranger of Ithilien
Wizard: Sharkey the Smith (Sharkey? That doesn't sound very wizardly)

Axel Fendersson:
Hobbit: Driam Fleam, Warden of Westmarch (Okay, now that one just sounds stupid)
Elf: Sengwen Shipwright
Dwarf: Lufur Zirak
Human: Vec of the Nine Servants
Wizard: Olórin the Ring-maker

Actually, you've gotten the wrong definition in this case. This word has its own special meaning in the Tolkienverse.

Sharkey was actually an alias of Saruman during the scouring of the Shire in Return of the King (which, thankfully, was omitted from the movies). So it is wizardly, though I agree that it doesn't sound like it.

I wouldn't have said 'wrong' exactly, but perhaps less useful to this specific example.

Ah, I should have realised it'd be something like that. I realised a few months ago that it was approximately half of my life ago that I read Lord of the Rings, so it is perhaps unsurprising that my memory is a little shakey on some of the details.

there's a link to it at the top of the page, Plangkye. (or at least there is as I post this, seems like the guys having bandwidth issues)

Real Name:
Elvish: Finrod Eledwhen (hmm... I guess Sam gets the same result as Ssj)
Hobbit: Mungo Burrows of Tuckborough (quite a name)

Board Name: "viva lacrotch"
Elvish: Inglor of Nargothrond (sounds like someone gargling)
Hobbit: Ponto Hornblower of Waymoot (best...name...EVAR!)
EDIT: I won't elaborate on this 'caus iits kinda POOPish, but George Bush gets an *interesting* result in the Hobbit generator.

Real name:

Wizard: Saruman, Lord of the West :bunbun:
Elf: Dicla, King of the Noldor

Board name:

Wizard: Salmar, Lord of the Rings
Elf: Gweryan, King of Nargothrond
Human: Owaedoc King of the Dead

So, is Salmar someone special that I just don't know about, or is it just some random name with a random title?

Also, for those wondering about how the first-mentioned generator works, it just takes the first and last letter of your name and uses them to find you Elven or Hobbit name. A bit lame IMHO.

I used three versions of my name, and I'm only going to put the interesting ones here.

It really liked my real name, it gave me very nice titles for that:
Nyll Oddfoot , Princess of the Halflings (Hobbit)
Unorfidë Lady of Lórien (Elf)
Elulle Queen of Númenor (Human)
Curunír , Powers of the World (Wizard)

'Betsy Bookworm' gave me a very long one:
Ibalissi of the Younger Children of Ilúvatar (Human)

A shortened version of my real name got:
Melia the Simple (Wizard)

Yay! I'm simple! Maybe I should go find something shiny to be distracted by...

Oh nevermind.
