We can't find antenna zen anymore... REALLY hard to watch tv when the signal keeps cutting in and out no matter what position the dang antenna is in.

People still get TV from antenna? You poor unfortunate souls.

I'd be much happier if people never talked about spoilers again. Anything spoiled by a spoiler isn't worth bothering with in the first place.

We don't have southern exposure from our balcony, so no satellite tv, and our local cable company seems to feel that charging over $50 a month if we want the most basic cable package with DVR is a reasonable thing.... we had to chose between internet or cable, and internet won.

I only have Netflix for the instant streaming to my video game console.

I have to sign up for XBox Live Gold for that, and I'm not doing that.

You can get a streaming box for the TV. That's what I did when I got rid of cable TV. One month's cable cost for a box that has no further charges besides the netflix fee I already was paying. You can also stream netflix from most Blu-ray players.

*shrug* I can stream it on my computer, which is literally three feet from my TV, so it's really not that important. Someday, I'll get a nice HD TV that has PC input and complete the circle.

I guess it depends on the size of the TV and/or the size of the monitor. I have a 19 inch monitor and a 50 inch TV. For me it does make a difference, but if I had a 19 inch monitor and a 22 inch TV I wouldn't care so I get what you mean.

I think it's 22 (monitor) and 24 (TV), or thereabouts (I can't be bothered to go get a yard stick to measure).

Could you please explain just what this is supposed to mean?

If it makes you feel any better, I'm not glad I'm right.

Cleaning my house. I usually let things go pretty badly during the semester, and hoo boy, it's bad. And I'm annoyed at it getting so nasty, now that I have to do a BIG CLEAN for thanksgiving guests. Bah.

My Christmas bonus got eaten up by Tax. And then some.

No, really. My bonus took my pay juuust over the threshold for me to start having to pay the government back for my university course. And so, my $760 bonus incurred $2080 of additional tax, because the tax burden was calculated over the rest of the year when I wasn't paying the government back.

My work is at least being nice by spreading the tax burden over the next 10 pays so I don't end up with a really sucky week. But man, I get rewarded for doing well in my job by being taxed almost triple my bonus. It's like I live in Scandinavia or something...

Don't complain. Your government will put it to good use, honest.
